So…what is the Monday Poll?
Excellent question! It isn’t, contrary to its name, an actual poll, like with little clicky buttons. It’s just a list of more or less random questions I’ve been posting on this blog every Monday morning for the past quadrillion years (since 2007).
1. Your thoughts on Christmas decorations before Thanksgiving?
If it jingles your bells, then go for it.
2. Last time you wore false lashes?
I honestly can’t remember. I’m guessing it must’ve been when Connor was a baby, so maybe nine years ago, more or less? It’s been a while!
3. Something discontinued you wish you could bring back?
The original NARS Dragon Girl pencil. I’ve been wearing my last one, and I’m gonna be sad when it finally runs out. I know there’s a new version but the OG is *chef’s kiss.*
4. Contacts or glasses?
Oh glasses, for sure. Contacts bother my eyes now, boo.
5. A book you read recently that you couldn’t put down?
“Seven Days in June” by Tia Williams. (Although I wish I read it in June, ha!)

Glasses. Never tried contacts.

Can’t think of any. Even though “Gone With the Wind” was an easy read, I still never finished it.
1. Your thoughts on Christmas decorations before Thanksgiving? Nope! I do it Thanksgiving weekend. My sister does it the first day of November.
2. Last time you wore false lashes? I have never wore fake lashes. I have really long lashes…I just need mascara since they are not as dark as they used to be.
3. Something discontinued you wish you could bring back? Urban Decay lipstick in Bruise❤️. Urban Decay afterglow blushes (especially Fetish and Rapture). Tarte Rainforest of the Sea foundation. Nars Dolce Vita Pencil (the original).
4. Contacts or glasses? Glasses. I have had Lasik and PRK…I can’t wear contacts anymore🙁…and need glasses again🙄.
5. A book you read recently that you couldn’t put down? I finally read the new Hunger Games book Sunrise on the Reaping.
1. Your thoughts on Christmas decorations before Thanksgiving?
Seems a little early, but that’s what happens when two holidays are filled with “stuff” and the one in the middle isn’t. Other than multicolored dried corn and hand-trace paper turkeys, Thanksgiving offers few options in the way of decor. Also, browns and oranges look dull after spooky black and orange has been in town. Who wouldn’t prefer red and green (for Christmas), or blue and white (for Hanukkah).

Never have.
3. Something discontinued you wish you could bring back?
This is taking it back a bit, but I miss the old Garden Botanika stores that used to be in the mall. Their body wash and lip crayons were staple items for me.

Glasses.
5. A book you read recently that you couldn’t put down?
It’s sad but nothing comes to mind.
1. Your thoughts on Christmas decorations before Thanksgiving? I don’t get fussed about it. However, this year I saw Christmas stuff before Halloween and that just seems way too early.
2. Last time you wore false lashes? Can’t remember.
3. Something discontinued you wish you could bring back? Clinique Naturally Glossy Mascara and the original Urban Decay Naked Palette ( I’m on my third and last one, sigh)
4. Contacts or glasses? Glasses, my eyes have always been too dry for contacts.
5. A book you read recently that you couldn’t put down? “Out” by Natsuo Kirino.

No.

Honestly, can’t remember, probably more than a decade ago. I remember wearing them for a cousin’s wedding but then ended up taking them out halfway through. I definitely want to try wearing them again.
3. Something discontinued you wish you could bring back?
Mac’s Lipstick in Half n half. Last time I checked it was discontinued, not sure if they brought it back.

Neither, but if I had to pick one, contacts for sure.
5. A book you read recently that you couldn’t put down?
There’s been no such book but one book I DID finally finish is Earnest Hemingway’s The Old Man and the Sea. Oh my goodness. The only reason I read it was because it was in my daughter’s recommended reading and she said she wasn’t going to read it because it was so boring so I read it. The whole book is a man being pulled by a fish. Seriously, the whole book. Him and the fish. Then I read that after that book he won a Pulitzer Prize.
