Black Friday for Beauty Addicts

Black Friday beauty deals

Rise and shine, ladies! I hope you got your grub on yesterday. I think I gained at least a pound, but I look at it as carbo-loading for Black Friday. 🙂

Black Friday — what an ominous phrase, right? Overlooking, for a moment, the irony of dedicating the day after Thanksgiving to shopping, are you hitting any stores? I’m building my shopping list right now (great list of ongoing health & beauty deals). I forgot to do any serious Black Friday planning this year, so I’m winging it today. So far this morning I’ve tracked down a few interesting deals…

bbw-blackfriday2009Bath & Body Works: AWESOME sales storewide, like their buy 3, get 3 free Signature Collection sale; a $100 Limited Edition VIP Gift Bag w/$40 purchase for $15; comfy-looking robes for $29.50, marked from from $49.50.

The Body Shop: Buy one, get one free on all seasonal bath and body, home fragrance, accessories and gift sets. Scents include Merry Cranberry, Nutmeg & Vanilla, Black Velvet Apricot and more.

CVS: Of course, you have to sign up for their free CVS card for most of these, but they’ve got a buy 1, get 1 free on Revlon (and many Cover Girl) cosmetics and beauty tools; Clairol Herbal Essences Conditioner or Shampoo for $3 each; a Conair Ceramic Straightener for $10 (always nice to have a spare).

gap-blackfriday2009The Gap: 50% off all women’s and men’s sweaters, pajama pants and cozy fleece for kids and babies also 50% off.

H&M: 25 percent off one item of your choice from 8-10 a.m. Friday. Select items storewide will be marked down to $5 and $10.

JC Penny: Lots of amazing deals (way more than I’ve mentioned here). JC Penny went all out this year. All women’s dresses and wallets $50 off, all Playtex 18 Hour & Underscore Boxed Bras for $9.88, Playtex Secrets Foam Underwire $14.88, 50% off women’s sleepwear…

katespade-blackfriday2009Kate Spade: Extra 25 percent off sale items.

Kohls: The website was so busy that their site even went down this morning! Lots of big markdowns so keep trying, but be sure to use coupon code TURKEY15 to save an extra 15% on all orders.

Macy’s: Get an extra $10 off $25 purchases from their Black Friday ad! DKNY Women’s Down Coats for $79.99, DKNY Women’s Sweaters for $27.99, Cultured Peal Strands with Sterling Silver Clasp for $79 (regular $300).

Neiman Marcus: Nice one here that’s only valid for a few hours today… Spend $100 or more from 9 a.m.-noon Friday and receive a $50 gift card.

Old Navy: Big savings storewide through Saturday. Look for $15 adult jeans (regular $30-50), all outwear 50% off, $5 performance fleece, sweaters down to $15.

overstock-blackfriday2009Overstock.com: Farouk CHI Original Ceramic Ionic Flat Iron for $69.99 ($20 less than Target), lots of GREAT deals on bedding like a Heavyweight 500 Thread Count Siberian White Down Comforter for $99.99 (regular $479.75), Calvin Klein Women’s Short Hooded Down Coat for $59.99 (regular $168!), Calvin Klein Women’s Lux Wrap-around Trench Coat for $89.99 (from $149.90), Cole Haan Women’s Long Snap-front Down Coat for $149.99 (from $395).

Target: Women’s quilted robes for $12.49, down 50%; reversible puffer vest for $7.50 (!) after 50% off; Philips Sonicare Essence (the basic model Sonicare, LOVE) for $39.99; .33-oz Harajuku Lovers fragrance in Gwen for $19.99.

Walgreens: Yes To Carrots Body Butter $3.99; Neutrogena cosmetics on buy 1, get 1 free.

Walmart: Better Homes And Gardens Egyptian Cotton Bath Towels for $4 (regular $20.88!); Mainstays Microplush Throw Rug 50″x60″ (spice up a bland room) for $4; Canopy 600 Thread Count Sheet Set with fitted sheet, flat sheet ad 2 pillowcases for $24.88 (!);

If you’re going to the mall today or tomorrow, stop by Coach, Calvin Klein, Aerospostale, Victoria’s Secret, Polo Ralph Lauren, Nike (need a new pair of running shoes?), BCBG Max Azria and/or Tommy Hilfiger (I heard a rumor they were doing a 40% off the entire store today, but I haven’t been able to confirm). I’ve seen some great Black Friday deals from these stores in past years. I’m not sure what they’ve got going on this time around.

Good luck out there! 🙂

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

Yeah I agree. But the thing is that I already have TOO many colours like that. But, well, I also need this one for some reason 😀

The hubby and I were out shopping at 5am, lol. It’s our tradition! I got 2 bare escentuals sets, each with a brush and a product, for 10 bucks each at ulta. Also got their benefit lipstick trio b/c I thought the colors were better than in the sephora set.

Oh and macy’s is so annoying b/c they put out coupons and then exclude EVERYTHING!

That’s good to hear. Sometimes those stories about people getting all agro on Black Friday scare me! I mean, I like a good sale, too, but come on!

Aww! Well, if you get the itch maybe a stop at the Nordie’s website (which ships internationally) might satisfy ya!

Yes, Tommy Hillfiger did have an extra 40% off the entire store. My fave store though was the Disney store, they already had great prices and on top of that took 20% off your entire purchase 🙂

Sigh… Since my dad is still in Hong Kong, my mom & I can’t go to Seattle for a quick trip. And my sister, lovely girl she is, went without me with her two girl friends too. Now I’m stuck moping around the house dreaming of what could have been 🙁

There’s always cyber Monday! I prefer to shop online these days… it saves me time, and I can do it in my jammies. 🙂

I went out to Union Square this morning (whew!) and braved a bunch of stores! I second Tiffany about Macy’s, I went there and all the jeans I was looking at (CK and DKNY) were excluded from the sale AND from the $10 off coupon in the flyer! Ended up shelling out full price for a pair of jeans I really liked, but I don’t think I’m going to shop there anymore! Score of the day was a fabulous gray sweater coat from Old Navy for a mere $15! ON was awesome, everything in the store was on sale! The lines were horrendous though, so I was happy I had the crossword app on my Iphone! 😀

Overall, props to the SF shoppers! Everyone was polite and happy in spite of the crowding! 🙂

I seem to be a little late, but I went to Kate Spade and Cole Haan on black friday and they had 50% off the ENTIRE store! I went to one of the prime outlets, and their stuff was already on sale! I also went into Coach and got a gorgeous bag for 140 (normally 258!). Also went to the loft, and everything was also 50% off everything… Went to Underarmour, not many good deals there, but I got some stuff that I’ve wanted for awhile. I also went to Foot Locker and bought my friend some shoes that he needed desperately. Classic adidas shell toes for 20! (Usually 70 :O) How was your black friday shopping?
