Rise and shine, morning glories! I hope you slept well. 🙂 Today I think I’m in the mood for something girly and fun. What do ya think about Bobbi Brown’s Brightening Lipgloss in Popsicle ($20)? Does it fit the bill?
It’s from her Makeup Face Lift collection for spring. Err, it may belong to a spring release… but this shimmery, rosy pink sure reminds me of summer (SIDE NOTE: Can we fast forward to June already? I’m so OVER having to wear socks). Chromatic glitter, um, hello?

P.S. In Bobbi Brown news, have you heard about the Pretty Powerful beauty campaign? Bobbi asked her some of her friends — people who aren’t professional models — to pose for the pics. I think it’s kinda cool… Fantastic imagery on the website. It says there’s also going to be a contest of sorts that starts on January 19. I haven’t figured out what it’s about yet, but I’ll definitely keep you posted. 🙂
The color is lovely 🙂 I’m currently wearing Lumminous Petal by Max Factor. It’s very resistant, well it’s a Lipfinity product and I’m very pleased with it, last for more than 8 hours whithout
any retouch. 🙂

I am probably the rare woman that doesn’t do a glossy lip frequently! I almost never wear lipgloss. I prefer a matte lip, honestly. Other women look great in lipgloss, but that look just doesn’t translate to my own face well.

I’m wearing MAC Flowerosophy lustreglass, it’s a nice light pink. It’s been sitting in my makeup drawer for ages, so it’s a rediscovered favorite!

nars turkish delight! its brand new and ive never spent this much on a gloss but i love it (my dad even said it looked expensive, whatever that means) and i’ll probably use it everyday!

Love the NARS gloss texture. Have you tried Greek Holiday or Sweet Revenge yet? Those two are my faves.
Paul and Joe’s Lip Lacquer – #10 ( a very lovely dark rosey brown – office approved!)
I love it – it give great coverage and is not at all gloppy (like a lipglass per se but I digress) the problem is I bought it while in NY and since it’s not offered here in the BAY (what’s up with that?) I now have to resort to ordering on line or waiting till my next trip to the East Coast which hopefully will be late Spring!

I am wearing MAC Lustreglass layered over MAC Warm Me Up lipstick. I haven’t been wearing that much glosses lately because I haven’t fallen back in love with lipstick, especially the creme finishes. They have the perfect colour coverage and just the right amount of sheen to it.

Utterly Posh layered over Soar lip liner. The sparkly orange gloss over the pink liner makes a unique combination. It’s one of my secret combos when I need to brighten up my face a little after a hard night of no sleeping.
I LOVED all the rain we got last night but was abruptly woken at 5am this morning to a really terrible cat fight outside my bedroom window – you’re still keeping Tabs inside right?
The storm freaked me out! I live next to a bunch of oaks and the branches kept hitting the windows… I barely got any sleep!
Yes, Tabs is still partying with us here at night. He only gets to go out on supervised harness visits. 🙂

They are quite amazing. They were so excited about the rain, I let them out on the back balcony to watch it and they got so pumped that they started doing laps around the house. It was like the Kittah Indy 500

Its not sticky at all. Its very similar to the Stila Lip Glaze pens and works well.
I always buy lip glosses but rarely ever wear them..but they look so tempting, and all shiny&sparkly in tubes that I have to buy them…I’m more of a creamy lipstick girl, and am wearing Chanel Rouge Allure Laque in Ming
I’m the opposite — I keep buying lipstick because I’m always sure the next one will be The One, but it never is — I’m really just a gloss girl at heart!

Inspired by this post, I wore Candy Glow aqualumiere today…I love the brush, but the whole apply/ reapply is just too complicated to me! Won’t stop me from buying more glosses though!

Burt’s bees Pomegranate lip balm. This BB lip gloss looks so pretty!
I’ve been all about the lipgloss lately. Today I’m wearing Plumtastic – a Maybelline Color Sensation gloss. It is a beautiful plummy color that wears well but has a major juicyfruit scent when you first put it on. It dissipates quickly though.
My lipstick/lipgloss can’t decide compromise are MAC Lustre lipsticks — Syrup, Plumful, Capricious…all good. Nice color, not too opaque, and good shine.
Very pretty, Karen! I’m wearing Clinique Fireberry today. I got a little boxed set of 12 mini lipglosses for Christmas, so I’m working my way through them and this has become a favorite.
Love Bobbi Brown in Popsicle, its a “me” color all the way!
Although today I’m as far from it as you can get. I have a Sephora lipstick on in #22. It’s kind of a reddish brown color with a bit of gold. I’ve got Mac gloss in Triple Yum over it. Got the Mac gloss at Cosmetics Company, I think it’s a discontinued color, it was part of the line that had 3 diff layered colors layered.
Kinda weird, but for me as far as lip color (which I always wear), it’s either a beautiful light glossy color or its dark and dramatic. Not much in between.
i’m wearing ysl rouge volupte lipstick no. 2 with nyx sweetheart lipgloss over it 🙂

I just received a small package from MAC and soon as I tore into the package I put on the Glamour for All l/g that was inside:-D Later on I may play with my haul from the MAC in Lillyland collection at which point the gloss will change to Resort Life!

I think that looks like a really great campaign from BB, all the women in the pictures are normal looking and each one has her own distinct beauty. I do get tired of seeing the same 16yr old waif like models that all look the same, it’s good to celebrate our individuality.
I’ve been wearing Chanel Aqualumiere in Bon Bon recently, I used to love this colour in the Cristalle and always got compliments when I wore it so I had to replace when it ran out. i just love the formula ’cause I hate sticky glosses.
Could you recommend any other brands which aren’t sticky? Thanks!
P.S. Popsicle looks lovely but I have heard that Bobbi’s glosses tend to be on the sticky side is this the case with this one?
Yeah, it’s sticky. Plus, it has a brush applicator that kind of sucks! But the color… oooh baby!

I am wearing UD’s Pocket Rocket Lipgloss in Doug. I got it as a freebie with my Sephora order… I kinda like it but I don’t know if I like it enough for $19… (I have a ton of lip gloss already)

But down to business: I’d like to think of myself as a lip gloss connoisseur, especially because I’m representing L’Bel Paris. This Bobbi Brown looks delectable! I like to mix it up a bit, but I’ve got to say that my standby favorite is still L’Bel’s Delicious Lip Gloss Plump in vin. Go figure.
At work I usually wear lipstick. Don’t know why, but I think it’s more professional. Today it’s Nars Dolce Vita. If I was wearing lipgloss it would probably be Nars Dolce Vita. Maybe I need to branch out a little!

I have on a bit of Guerlain’s Kiss Kiss gloss in 868. It looks pink in the container but has an iridescent shimmer (with blue microglitter) when it’s applied. I love iridescent eye and lip stuff. 🙂

I am wearing organic brand Dr. Hauschka lipgloss in cherry red. It is more treatment then colour.
(I still have no Glossimer yet, and I badly need the Dior Serum Rouge. )
For usual I am wearing lipstick rather then gloss. I don’t like BB glosses because they’re sticky and smell artificial. Neither their lipsticks. Same with my beloved NARS. But the colours, the colours! Tehy are definitely great, both brands, just does not help me if my lips look fringed&painted. No go.

I’ve always loved BB lipglosses although it’s a bit expensive where I come from. Right now I’m wearing NYX Goddess of the night lipgloss, it’s got this great pinkish tone to it which I love. AND it’s affordable too 🙂

I really love BB gloss, but have been begging for a better applicator….the brushes are a real bummer. They do have one of their glosses with a doe applicator so if we all keep after them maybe they will update all of the glosses with that or get a better brush. MAC seems to have mastered the brush concept well. Luv this Popsicle!
