The Bobbi Brown Cabana Corals Lip and Eye Palette

February 3rd, 2010 by Karen 21 Comments

Quick update for Bobbi Brown Cabana Corals collection fans! A lip and eye palette joins the lip and cheek products I mentioned earlier, and this one’s available exclusively at Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman stores.

It clocks in at $60, but you do get six eyeshadows, four lippies and two miniature brushes for that price.

Not a bad deal, all told.

First impressions? In my case, I like the lipsticks, but I LOOOVE the eyeshadows. I can see them workin’ overtime through spring and into summer.

What do you think?

From left to right: Lip Color in Cabo Coral, Lip Color in Salmon, Lip Color in Shell, Metallic Lip Color in Coral Reef

From left to right: Eyeshadow in Ivory, Metallic Eyeshadow in Bermuda Pink, Metallic Eyeshadow in Seashell Pink, Metallic Eyeshdow in Bonfire, Eyeshadow in Tan, Metallic Eye Shadow in Burnt Sugar

If you’re interested, Neiman’s is gifting mini-tubes of Perfectly Defined Mascara in Black with any Bobbi Brown purchase (while supplies last). Heck, might as well get a little something-something extra, right?

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

P.S. If you guys want lip swatches, gimme a holla!

Bobbi’s pallettes are always pretty, but I’m afraid the corals show up to orange on my skin and I’m allergic to anything with red dye in it on my eyes, including pinks.

I’m always blown away by the sleek, crisp promo images for Bobbi Brown’s new collections, but her target market is REALLY not me. These shades are so delicate not bold and playful, which is what I think of when I think of corals.

    Happy Wednesday!

This palette makes me miss summer so much! The eye shadows are just lovely, and would go so well with all of the neutral colors that are popping up in clothes!

This palette would be a very good investment because The eyeshadows are very pretty neutrals, which some people would get alot of use out of.

The eyeshadows look great – I never wear lipstick (I am a l/g junkie) though and those shades look too warm for my cool toned skin. 🙁

Ooh, how pretty. Lip swatches would be nice. I usually don’t buy Bobbi’s palettes because the lip colors are all too sheer. I hate to pay that much for something you can’t even see. These look like they might actually show up. Thanks!

ooh-pretty! Luckily, the eyeshadow that caught my eye first (bonfire) I already have as a single, yay! But I like the looks of bermuda pink a lot too. and I love Cabo Coral lippie, but think I still prefer the chanel coral.

    Hey Karen,

The colors are gorgeous! Although the eyeshadows seem a bit sheer… Have you tried an eye look with it? And would love to see lip swatches!

    It’s… It’s so beautiful. :’o

This is always the sort of palette I imagine that I will get and never need any other makeup again, just me and a cute, compact palette (and a tube of concealer) forever and ever. Then I remember my poor impulse control at the drugstore, and I know it can never be so simple.

The colors look a bit too orangey for me and I reckon would show up pretty weird on my skin tone. Wish it would have been more neutral/brown instead 🙁

Very pretty palette, but not enough pigmentation in the shadows. I wonder how they’ll swatch over a primer?

I got Cabo Coral Pot Rouge and Guava lipstick delivered yesterday – love the Pot Rouge, even though I’m usually a pink gal, but the Guava is absolutely horrible! I’m sending it back – I even sent an email to BB customer service – the swatch and description on the site shows a pretty warm pink – “medium toned nectar” – it’s a horrible light matte orange with no pink at all!

    I’m very disappointed!

I love bobbi brown palettes for the eye shadows, but the lip colors always end up sticky and messy, so I have stopped buying them :-/
