San Francisco Fashion Week 2007 — MAC Cosmetics Creates Looks for Designers Kirribilla, Dcepcion, Evarize

Last night I headed backstage with MAC Cosmetics for the second night of San Francisco Fashion Week 2007. My favorite look is what key MAC makeup artist Louise Zizzo created for the designer Kirribilla.

“The idea behind this is vintage Hawaiian,” says Louise. “It’s a very straightforward look but it has to be done well, otherwise it will look weird.”

The emphasis with this look is on the brows and the lips. “There’s that element of 50s in there with the very sexy brow and the stronger lip, but with a twist. It’s going to be a very defined brow, so not really fluffy, a little darker than their natural brow color,” says Louise.

The most beautiful part of the look is the lip, which is a combination of two colors — So Chaud, and orange color, and Chatterbox, pink.

The rest of the face is natural, with “nothing else, just foundation, no sculpting, just very plain, maybe with just subtle natural contour,” says Louise.

MAC’s Look for Kirribilla
– Inspired by 50s Vintage Hawaii
– Strong Brows
– Strong Matte Lip with Orange and Pink tones (So Chaud and Chatterbox)
– Plain face

Here’s another look from MAC from the second night of San Francisco Fashion Week, created by key artist Louise Zizzo for the designer Dception.

The Inspiration Behind the Look:
– Very boyish
– Very streetwear
– Features of a male, but with feminine touches
– Futurisitc

MAC’s Look for Dcepcion
– Lots of naturals
– Focus on facial features
– No strong colors
– No mascara
– Lips have mirror-finished topcoat from Pro Longwear Lustre Lipstick
– the features of a male, and then just adding a little bit of femininity to it

And last here’s a stunning look created by key artist Louise Zizzo for the designer Evarize. This makeup makes me want to listen to Donna Summer and feather my hair.

– The 70s

MAC’s Look for Evarize
