Ooh, lawd! Gotta love April Fool’s Day. 🙂 I’m still a little bit on edge out here on the West Coast, though, because we have four hours to go before midnight, and El Hub always tries something tricky…

I’m glad the sun finally came out this afternoon. It showed up while I was conducting a little beauty “research” at Sephora in San Francisco, where I spotted the new Tokidoki line, yay! I also squeezed in a trip to a place called the Blo Bar. I’ll explain and post swatches and all that good stuff soon.

Was it sunny over there? Today was El Hub’s Friday, so we’re going out to grab some dinner. While I get ready, let’s say a final farewell to March.

Are Milani’s Infinite Liquid Eye Liners Drugstore Duping MAC?

“When it comes to long-lasting brush-on liquid liners, MAC’s Liquidlast Liners pretty much set the bar for me, combining rich color AND awesome extended wear time. Once I even left a swatch of it on the back of a hand, you know, to see how long it would last? No joke — TWO DAYS!”

Get a Dior-able Crushed Glow for Summer

“It’s a break from the bold and frosty metallic finishes that have graced past Dior shimmers, but that doesn’t mean it’s a shadow snooze-fest. Dior may have turned down the dial (not all the way though) on the shimmer, but it’s still sure to make those lovely eyes sparkle. :)”

Glow on with Your Bad Self: Make Up For Ever HD Microfinish Blush

“I’ve been going between Walk of Shame (a creamy bubblegum pink) and Quickie (a salmon pink), wearing both in various ways — on bare skin, beneath foundation, on top of foundation and even on top of powder. No matter how I’ve used ’em, I think they’ve looked pretty good…”

A Sunset-Inspired Face of the Day with MAC, Urban Decay and Benefit

“Can you remember the last time you watched a sunset? I couldn’t, so I watched and waited on the back deck last Saturday afternoon with my camera to refresh my memory.”

MBBTV: Episode 2 — Looking at MAC Liberty of London

“Are you stoked about MAC Liberty of London? I’m all over the Nail Lacquer in Blue India… Here are some pictures in this quickie video of the new collection. Let me know what you think!”

MAC Unsung Heroes: The Technakohl Liners

“My wimp-tacular eyelashes and I rely on MAC’s Technakohl Liners ($14.50, available in 11 colors), magical, twist-up mechanical makeup pencils that tightline like WHOA!”

Tuesday Beauty Tips: Because Words Matter

“How would you describe your inner voice? Is she a supportive personal cheerleader, one who lifts you up with positive words of encouragement, or is she constantly criticizing your every move? If yours is the former, consider yourself blessed.”

I’m Dreaming of Dolce and Gabbana Midnight Bloom

“I had a dream once where I was wandering through a beautiful tropical garden at night … Dolce & Gabbana’s Midnight Bloom summer makeup collection would have fit right in.”

MAC Too Fabulous Mineralize Blushes Offer a Bounty for Medium to Dark Skin Tones

“Take a look at light peachy pink Rhapsody in Two… I get the feeling it’ll rock hard on lighter skin, and regardless of how dark any of these shades are, you can always build the colors slowly in layers with the help of a good fan brush (I really like the Shu Uemura 7.5EX).”

Accessory to Commit Makeup: Introducing Tarina Tarantino Beauty

“Since Tarina’s jewelry’s so colorful and quirky, I was expecting crazy makeup colors too. Well, it has some of that, but there’s also a solid core of really wearable neutrals, and even the edgier purples and pinks are still tastefully done.”

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

    Dang, March went by fast.

I wanna hit up my local Sephora to see if they have the new tokidoki line too. It looks too cute!

It’s been getting windy here, but at least the sun is out! Last year, around this time, the sky was permanently covered with clouds for about 2 months. Depressing.

I hope they have it in! If they do you’ve gotta try the glosses. 🙂

How’s the weather out your way today? Here it’s cold and overcast… looks like it’s going to rain soon, boo.

Nice day today. Some clouds, a bit of wind, but the sun is out. Wish I could send some out your way!

So this might be a completely obnoxious question, but what are the two fonts you used in your first picture? The “March” and then the “goodbye winter”? They go perfectly together!

      Hi Erin,

The word “March” is The King and Queen (from dafont.com) and the text is good ol’ Garamond.
