New Lady Million by Paco Rabanne Eau de Parfum Sure Knows How to Make a First Impression

Her multi-faceted bottle catches light like a gilded yellow diamond, but it’s her fragrance that sealed the deal for me. New Lady Million by Paco Rabanne Eau de Parfum ($88), available exclusively at Sephora starting September 20, understands how important a good first impression can be.

The official fragrance notes include…

  • Top: bitter orange, raspberry and neroli (a plant oil with a spicy scent)
  • Middle: jasmine, gardenia and orange flower
  • Base : patchouli, amber and honey

Lady Million sparkles in more ways than one, but if you’re trying to sniff out something youthful, innocent and carefree (like Marc Jacobs Daisy), you won’t find it here. Million has grownup gals written all over it — a la piano bars and high heels, expensive champagne and late nights spent flirting with well-dressed bad boys. If I were single and out looking for trouble with my girls, I’d douse myself in it from head to toe!

I’d call the scent a floral oriental, akin to Jean Paul Gautier Classique, Burberry Brit, Dolce & Gabbana The One and Benefit Something About Sophia. If any of those are scents you like, you might want to give it a sniff when it launches later this month. 🙂

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

Hmm, while the bottle is gorge, that’s not the kind of scent I normally like. Spicy just seems wrong on me. Fruity and sweet is more my style.

I used to not like spicy, but I’ve grown to appreciate.

Not in love with the bottle, but that sounds like something I need to smell. My favoritest-ever, discontinued perfume is an orange-jasmine concoction. I treat my last, teeny bottle like gold — which means it will probably evaporate on its own before I can use it up!

Yeah, it’s not for everyone. I think it’s interesting and unique, but from certain angles it can look kinda pimp-esque, LOL!

Lady Million sounds like my Pink Sugar alter ego! I lurve D&G The One…and I lurve “iano bars and high heels, expensive champagne and late nights spent flirting with well-dressed bad boys.” Girl, you keep me giggling and shopping!

Have you sniffed Rose The One? It’s not spicy like the original version, but it’s still very pretty.

I love this perfume 😀 I got a sample in Sephora and I wore it last night, it’s so pretty! But I don’t like the bottle very much 😮 maybe I should buy it to actually appreciate it?

My friend bought this-it smells divine! And since my husband wears the male version, I think that means I should get this, right? Right!

It’s so funny that you reviewed this. I was in a meeting yesterday and this was literally the conversation (about 6 times):

A (who flies a lot): You know 1 Million is the best selling men’s fragrance in duty free stores!
    B: Yes, it’s the package.
    A: I know, but it’s their #1 seller.
C: It’s a pretty high end consumer in those stores… is the fragrance really middle America?
A: I don’t know.. I’m just saying, it’s the #1 seller in duty free stores.

At the end of the day, we were all like, “Really? wow, I hadn’t heard that. #1?” (giggles).

I’m checking out both the men’s and the women’s just because of that!!

LOVELY! I appreciate the aspiration of the design of the flacon itself, however in person the bottle is a shade tacky for my taste. With that said, know that the jus is subtle and passionate YES passionate. Deliciously soft and spicy, after spritzing myself liberally at Sephora I was immediately complimented on the scent by a beautiful man at the mall. Amazing!
