But can you blame me? Purity Made Simple One-Step Facial Cleansing Cloths are named after one of my favorite products of all time, Philosophy’s Purity Made Simple liquid cleanser.

I couldn’t even venture a guess at how many bottles of it I’ve used over the years, but it’s been a lot.
Like the liquid version, the cloths, which have been out on shelves for a while now, are supposed to remove dirt, oil and makeup, except they do it without the need to rinse.
Are they soft? Yes, ma’am. And they do what many lesser cleansing cloths can’t — remove long-wearing makeup — but they also contain something that causes a mild tingling sensation, and it kinda gets on my nerves.
That said, my waterlines take to ’em pretty well and aren’t irritated by whatever causes the tingling (no watery eyes). It’s really quite mild, but I still wish it wasn’t there.
Forgivable? Absolutely, because they are, in fact, great at doing what they’re designed to do. They cut through the stubbornest makeup and leave my skin feeling clean, albeit a little drier and tighter than it feels when I use the liquid version.
The cloths also leave behind a light film and surprisingly aren’t imbued with the lovely liquid version’s herbal scent (these are fragrance-free).
Simply put, Purity Made Simple facial cleansing cloths are good — REALLY good. They cut through long-wearing makeup with ease, but are they good enough to justify the price? They just might be.

Okay, so you know you’re a child of the ’80s when you hear the word skating and automatically assume it’s roller skating. Dang I miss roller rinks!

OK, now I’m really laughing. YES! I totally miss roller skating. There’s a roller derby league in the “city” closest to us and we’re always laughing about joining (except we’re too old with too many torn ligaments!).
The other reason I’m laughing is because I just wrote back to you on the last post and used the word “dang”. We must be sharing a Joe Dirt moment! HAHAHA!
I actually did fool with the Private Affair a bit but stuck mostly to the lighter colors. I love that dark wine but can’t quite get the hang of it on my upper lash line – it just looks too goth on me. I end up having to pat a lighter shadow on top of it but I’m looking like grim death with it on. Any suggestions? 🙂
PS I am LOVING the UD Jackpot liners, though. I wear a different color everyday (today is El Dorado and it’s surprisingly flattering)!
I’m thinkin’ that price is too high, even if they’re terrific. I use the L’Oreal Skin Genesis ones and they’re really great…only $7 for 30, too.
I like those, but am not cray-cray about the sticky film they leave on my skin. Do you that issue too?

One of the things I got was the Sultra Bombshell Curler. My daughter and i really wanted something like this for a while now. I can hardly wait to try it out!
I think I’ll stick with my Say Yes to Cucumbers wipes. My skin is pretty sensitive so tingling on you would probably mean tomato red on me! 🙂

I had a free sample of these about a month ago. I thought the worked pretty well but the tingling sensation kinda bothered me.
Yeah, I hear you. It’s not as bad as the Noxema wipes (which were painful), but it is annoying.

YAY! The liquid version ROCKS. It has an interesting scent. If you don’t like it at first trust me… it’ll grow on you!

I like both, but prefer the Costco ones for the price and the non-tingly action. The Philosophy ones do remove long-wearing stuff faster though.
Ouch! These burned my eyes like crazy!! I had to throw them out becase of it!
I’ve been using PMS for a few weeks now, and I’m really liking it! The smell is awesome. I’ve stopped using wipes since I read that they can give you wrinkles because they pull on sensitive skin too much, and now I’m paranoid.
