Lippmann Collection Nail Colors, Holiday 2008

October 10th, 2008 by Karen 24 Comments

e=mc squared, yo! All the numbers I crunched at work earlier this week nearly drove me insane. I’ve been seeing Microsoft Excel workbooks in my sleep and need something to take my mind off of all these spreadsheets and formulas.

I know! — I’ll paint my nails. 🙂

Take a gander at the new Lippmann Collection Holiday 2008 colors ($15 each). The four new full-size shades are available online and at Nordstrom stores nationwide.

  1. Icing on the Cake: Pale pink frost
  2. Maneater: Deep chocolate brown cream
  3. Holiday: Candy apple red with fine red and magenta shimmer (limited edition)
  4. Superstar: Brown with copper glitter (limited edition)

The last shade I used to paint my nails was a little on the dark side (Sally Hansen’s The Good Earth, a shimmery chocolate brown), so I’m leaning toward something lighter this time, like Icing on the Cake.

Or maybe Superstar… Those coppery glitter flecks are tempting.

Which Lippmann holiday shade do you like best?

With the exception of Superstar (the glitter makes it gritty), these have the same high durability and quick-dry formula that Lippmann polishes are known for.

I like Icing on the Cake better that I usually like pale colors! Holiday would be my second choice!

    Happy Friday! 🙂

Wow, I really like maneater (what a name) and holiday. The red is a refreshing color, i think under certain lights, leans towards the orange spectrum..

AND Superstar? I prefer fine glitter over chunkier pieces especially if one paints it 2 or 3 times! Glitter overload XD

For some reason I am not really feeling these. I went with holiday though.

BTW…my lancome order came. I so swooned at the holiday palette i got. They sent me extra freebie samples too. Lancome is rocking my world right now.

Superstar is AWESOME – what a party colour! I’m notusually into glitters but I am lemming that…

TGIF indeed – my day started off with a shattered rear windshield and a last minute courthouse hearing and didn’t get much better from there! Off to London tomorrow morning for some serious funtimes, though. Can’t wait! Hope you all have a great weekend.

    Hey Karen,

I picked Superstar although I would probably wear it on my toes as opposed to my fingers. Right now I am rocking Never Enough Shoes by Sephora’s OPI collection (I picked it since the much coveted Metro Chic is MIA…sigh).

Well gotta go, the hubby was nice enough to take me to Sephora on his day off…

    HAPPY FRIDAY!!

    Hi Glosslizard,

Icing on the Cake is the frontrunner right now so it looks like that’ll be it!

    Hi Sandy,

Usually I like fine glitter too, but this Superstar is pretty nice for a big glitter polish. Hope you’re having a good weekend!

    Hi Megan,

SWEET! I know you’ve been on lockdown for a while so I’m glad you got your paws on a swoon-worthy palette. What are the colors like? Shimmers, mattes?

    Hi Laura B.,

Oh no! What happened to your car? Are you okay?

Have sooo much fun in London, my dear! 🙂

    Hi Tami,

I am lemming Metro Chic, too. Every time I go to Sephora it’s MIA.

That’s so sweet that your honey takes you to Sephora on his day off! When I go with El Hub, I have to drag him, LOL. I usually sit him down in a corner, give him my phone to play with (it has internet), and then go off to play!

    Have a wonderful weekend! 🙂

    Hey Karen,

The hubby and I had a nice time at Sephora. My intentiom was to go there and pick up some Ojon. But I can never go there and pick up one item. After checking for Metro Chic (MIA again), I spotted I’m With Brad and Opening Night. After an unsuccessful attempt to buy the tester of (MIA), I ended up just with ‘Brad’. Oh and the hubby picked up a few things for himself…

How scary! I’m glad that you are okay. What a PIA for that to happen though…

    Hi Karen,

The five year anniversary is coming up next Saturday so maybe I’ll take hubby back to Sephora to pick out my gift
:-p…or maybe to Tiffany (in my dreams)
