MAC Russian Red has been my favorite red lipstick for years, but Dior’s Rouge Dior Lipcolor in Rouge Favori 752 ($30) is nipping at its heels. Part of Dior’s permanent line, it’s a rich, full-coverage matte red with a hint of magenta, which gives it a little extra oomph.
And the oomph lasts. The non-drying formula feels light and comfy on my lips, and the color lasts all day long.
It’s pricey, fo’ sho’ (hey, it is Dior), but I sure do love the color.

Very pretty, I recently got the Dior SPF 15 Rouge Serum in Red and im liking it….nit matte, sheer but buildable coverage, I dab in on sporadically when I want a red stained pucker. This one though loos marvelous.
Gorgeous color. I’m still kinda scare of red. I almost bought Russian red when it was promoted with Mac wonder woman. Though this might be my first Dior purchase if not then I can get both the Russian Red lipstick and ligpglass for that amount. Decisions…

Really pretty color but I agree, PRICEYYYY.. One of my favorite red lipsticks at an affordable price at the moment is CoverGirl’s Lip Perfection Lip Color in Hot. They also make the corresponding liner in Passion. Great product at an affordable price. I love it so much I even had to do a post on it!

i can see why you love this color!! it’s great. i used my MAC Love Child lipglass ( i think it is two words! ) and thought “hmmm, i wonder why karen hasn’t used this as an unsung hero! just wanted to make sure you knew of it…so pretty and i re fall in love with it every time i pull it out!
Hi Karen! Can you do a post on gel liners (specifically the Bobbi Brown one) and application tips etc.? I’m looking for a good eyeliner that can line my upper lash line + waterline without transferring to the lower waterline and that will stay put during the summer and at the pool. Thank you so much!

Beautiful! My current fave reds are Chanel Coco Rouge in Paris and Nars Pure Matte in Vesuvio. MAC’s Pure Vanity lipgloss is also awesome.
