There’s something sketchy about the new NARS Galion Nail Polish ($17), and by that I mean that it reminds me of the graphite pencils I used to draw with in art class. 🙂
Two coats of this creamy dark gray, the sole polish in the upcoming nine-piece fall collection from NARS, deliver fully opaque nail color with a high-shine finish.
I totally 
the color, but it’s like a really dark paint job on a car — shows every little scratch. I neglected to add a sturdy base and topcoat this time, and after barely a day with it on, I can already spot a few chips at the tips of my nails.

Chips on the first day even without a top coat is a little sketchy hmm…That never happens with NARS polishes and my polishes always chip on me like the next day do you think they’ve been reformulated?
It looks alright to me (I have a weird typing habbit which makes polish chip within an hour）and it’s nice that it’s dark enough while you can still call it a gray.

That is one, sweet color. I would never be able to wear it on my fingernails because I’m totally lazy (no base or top coats). I think it could be great on my toes, though – even in the summer. I really, really like the color. 🙂

Chipping that quickly on the first day is terrible for a polish at this price point.
The only NARS polish I’ve splurged on is Zulu (the re-release, not the original) and it lasted for a long time without chipping. If it chipped fast, I would feel ripped off. 🙁

Hmmm… For some reason, NARS is not selling the Galion nail polish online to the United States. However, if you select UK or France as your country, THEN the Galion nail polish shows up on their web site and you can purchase it. Will they be selling this in the U.S. anytime soon?
Thanks Mabeline, good tip! If only I lived in Europe, I could use the NARS 20 percent off discount code that’s floating around until the end of July. Oh well … the nail polish is also on sale now at Nordstrom, so I guess I’ll have to buy it – and a bunch of other stuff from the beauty sale!
