Coming Soon: The New Bare Escentuals bareMinerals Ready Eyeshadow 8.0 Palettes in The Cocktail Hour and The Playlist

September 14th, 2011 by Karen 47 Comments

Calling all Bare Escentuals bareMinerals babes. Set your calendars for November 1, and title the reminder, “2 new BM eyeshadow palettes coming out today.”

The limited edition Ready Eyeshadow 8.0 Palettes in The Cocktail Hour and The Playlist ($40 apiece) promenade into Bare Escentuals Boutiques on November 1, each with eight new Bare Escentuals bareMinerals pressed eyeshadow shades.

The Cocktail Hour

The Playlist

Base Escentuals is still new to the world of pressed powder eyeshadows, and if you haven’t tried any of their wares, the new palettes (with their simply pretty packaging) could be a great place to start.

I’m kinda crushing on the plum and khaki in The Cocktail Hour, myself…

Mah hair’s a HOT MESS!

I do notice some minor fallout on my cheeks when I apply these shadows, but it’s nowhere near as much as I’ve seen from the Smashbox Style Files shades. For the most part, I think the range of easy-to-blend colors, the pretty packaging and the high level of pigment make up for it, so to speak.

PRICE: $40 each
AVAILABILITY: Coming November 1 to Bare Escentuals Boutiques, counters and also online
MAKEUP AND BEAUTY BLOG RATING: B (they do exhibit some minor fallout)

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

P.S. We’re approaching the halfway marker, young lady. 🙂 We’re almost over the hump.

I’ve hit a new makeup milestone. For the first time in my life, I’ve been able to look at a pretty palette and say “Well, I’ve got eyeshadows that could dupe all those colors… I guess I’ll pass”.

Guess I better start giving stuff away so I can rationalize getting MORE. =)

LOL! I think you should get more storage so you can collect even more palettes! 😉

Cocktail Hour is very, very pretty. Unfortunately I’m not familiar with Bare Escentuals eyeshadows (pressed or otherwise) and fallout SUCKS, I will be skipping this! 🙂

I think your hair looks cute! I like how you have your bangs swept to the side. The whole look is effortless, yet sexy!

The eyeshadows are pretty, but I would have to see them in person and swatch them before I could buy.

Hey Miss Karen, I am wearing eyeshadow from one of my Too Faced Palettes (Enchanted Glamourland) and cream blush from ELF. Trying out some new Smashbox mascara but, I don’t think I like it 🙁 Back to Ulta I’m thinking 🙁 Have a great day!

Hey look! There’s a red in playlist! 🙂 I’m still emotionally distressed over the fallout in my Lorac palette but I do enjoy looking at these BE colors in their pans. Btw, I think your hair looks cute and not hot-messy at all.

My first thought was OMG, I love cocktail hour, especially that peachy one on the top right. Then was totally crushed when I realized I can dupe all including that sparkly black/blue within my very small collection.

BE and Smashbox was what started this thing called addiction…which is funny as I am an addictions counselor:) Anyways, I have a billion loose e/s from BE and I LOVE them all. I was quite surprised when I first started seeing reviews of the pressed shadows, because they do loose so well. The only thing that is throwing me off is the packaging, I know everybody else loves it, but I just don’t like it:( But that won’t stop me from indulging!
