Miss Piggy for MAC Swatches and Product Pics

November 3rd, 2011 by Karen 68 Comments

When I was four, my favorite thing on television was The Muppet Show. I remember sitting in front of our set and praying I wouldn’t have to get up to fix the bunny ears on top of the TV, because I didn’t want to miss a single second.

I especially loved the two old dudes in the balcony who made fun of everyone, the adorable Fozzy bear, the Swedish Chef (“Bork! Bork! Bork!”) and of course, the diva of all divas, Miss Piggy.

How could you not love a glamorous pig in high heels, pearls and opera-length gloves? 🙂

It’s been a while since Miss P. and the Muppets were in the spotlight, but they’ll be back on the big screen once again, this November 23, in their new Disney flick, simply called, The Muppets.

To coincide with the movie’s release, MAC’s releasing the minuscule Miss Piggy for MAC collection, a three-piece release for eyes, exclusively online in North America and select countries on November 14.

Take a look at the pics and swatches below, and let me know if anything strikes your fancy.

Speaking of movies, I ended up watching Footloose last night, and believe it not, I thought it was really, REALLY good! 🙂

I didn’t realize there would just be 3 products! They seem really nice, though. I like the lashes! Maybe one day I’ll be brave enough to wear something like that:)

You can do it! False lashes are super fun. You could always try cutting them in half and wearing them jus ton your outer corners…

What! You can’t even see the color of the shadow. It’s sheerer than a blush. I’ll pass on that. But the lashes look nice!

The eyeshadow seems a little sheer. Also, I wish they added more products to this collection. I can’t believe there is only one eyeshadow in this collection. =(

Do you think it’s a must-have eyeshadow (color wise)? I would probably be more inclined to buy it if it had special packaging hehe…but is the color similar to any of the other Mac eyeshadows?

I’ll have to let you know after I play with it some more, but right now I’d say it would have to boil down to whether or not you like 1) pink eyeshadow (I personally love it!), and 2) sheers. I plan to put it on tomorrow morning… will let you know then if it’s the bomb.com. 😉

How was your Thursday? Good, I hope.

Nope. Had it at the Paper Canoe in Duck, NC. But I will be reproducing it. Would be simple enough to infuse the cream with chai flavors.

When you make it at home I’d love to have the recipe. I’ve never made creme brulee before, so this would be my excuse to 1) buy one of those little torches (FUN) and 2) learn something new.

This kind of seems like a pointless collection, with only one of the products being limited edition. And it doesn’t even seem that unique or great. Kind of glad I’m not too interested in this, it’s hard to keep up with all the collections sometimes!

I’m not really surprised how little this collection is, because after all Miss Piggy wasn’t HUGE about make up. Some red lipstick and bright blush would of been cool though! I’m still going to buy the pink shadow though, I’m super pale so I think it’ll show up nicely on me!

Oh, I think it’s super cute! And it’s the epitome of Miss Piggy. 🙂 OMG, that reminds me that a friend of mine wore false lashes for Halloween and I was complimenting her on them. She was like “yeah… um… I glued my lashes together by mistake. But it ended up working out”. She was afraid that she’d be coming in like a one-eye-glued-but-fluttering hot mess, which would also have been funny. Back to the Muppets, I loved Beaker.

Totally echoing everyone else’s comments that have already been made. But i’m soooo very sad there isn’t any fun packaging to this. I had heard it was only the three items, so had come to terms with that, and items that were fine, but not anything that I found all that interesting… But I thought we would at least get cute packaging! I totally would have bought it just for that! They could’ve even put Miss Piggy on the BOX of a normally packaged shadow and I would have gone for it… I’m so sad. =( A tear…
Maybe they will realize their mistake, or were just trying to trick us… and when they release the movie on DVD ~ BAM! Miss Piggy, Kermit & Gonzo inspired colors!!! Eh? Maybe? I suppose anything is possible, a girl can dream. =)
