When I Wear Becca Beach Tint in Fig, I Can’t Even Tell (and That’s the Idea)

I don’t know why I keep trying to explain the “no makeup” makeup look to straight dudes. It’s one of those concepts they just don’t get. I got into a lengthy discussion with El Hub about the wonders of Becca’s $25 Beach Tints, and by the end of the conversation I wanted to pull out my toe hair! “If you don’t want to look like you’re wearing makeup,” he said, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world, “why don’t you not wear makeup?”

Sure, I tried to explain that it’s just a style, but all he could do was shake his head and mumble…

When I wear Fig, a creamy tea rose/pink stain for cheeks and lips from Becca’s Lost Weekend collection for fall, by itself on my cheeks, I feel like I look better rested and brighter, and not like I’m wearing a heavy product.

I’ve also tried, and really like, layering water-resistant, streak-free Fig beneath both of the Mineral Powder Blushes from the Lost Weekend collection, Sweet Pea and Wild Honey.

As for wearing it on my lips, I like the way it looks all by itself — a perfect my-lips-but-better shade — and beneath glosses like Make Up For Ever’s Lab Shine in S4 (from the new Wild & Chic Best of Make Up For Ever kit).

I’m a huge fan of Becca’s Beach Tints but not a huge fan of their $25 price. Thankfully, because they last all day long, I don’t tend to use very much. I also like that each color has its own trademark scent, and Fig, by the way, really does smell like fig! 🙂

On top of everything else, they’re oil-free and don’t contain preservatives or parabens. Not bad at all.

PRICE: $25
AVAILABILITY: Available at Becca counters and also online
MAKEUP AND BEAUTY BLOG RATING: A-

Gorgeous. It is just the perfect product for the no make up look, you do look well rested and bright! I’ve never used Becca products before, maybe I should put it on my Christmas list.
P.S. I’ve given up trying to explain make up looks to my honey, LOL!

The boyfriend has learned to accept my makeup addiction. He even posed for a recreation:

I didn’t know about the brand Becca. This is a really pretty blush- a great blush for the “no-makeup look”!

Okay… I need this… really badly. So that way when I go to the beach I can still look alive, even if I know it’ll come off really quickly once I dive in the waves!

I love the look of all Becca’s products, but have yet to try any! I love how natural and easy the line seems. The beach tints are first on my list.

What guys don’t seem to understand (possibly because we don’t explain it clearly to them) is that it’s not so much a “no makeup” look as an “I don’t *need* makeup” look. Everything looks subtly better, NOT identical to how you look without any makeup.
Poor boys, it’s all so confusing for them… 😛

i am really so tempted by Becca, but i am really trying hard not to add another brand addiction to my list LOL.

the hubs has given up on trying to understand “face paint” (as he calls them)…. he does like skincare though!

You look beautiful! I have been trying to resist the Becca temptation for a while now… but everything’s just so dang pretty!
I also love your eyeshadow-it looks gorgeous on you!
