Dry Lips Should Love Japanese Spring and Richly Revered, Two of the Cremesheen Glasses from Daphne Guinness for MAC

The Cremesheen Glasses ($18.50 each) in the new Daphne Guinness for MAC collection are among my favorite pieces in the release because I think they’re also among the easiest ones to wear.

The collection catapults onto North American counters December 26 and internationally a little later in January with four Cremesheen Glass shades — Borealis, a pale grayish pink with iridescent pearl; Japanese Spring, a pale dirty pink; Narcissus, a dirty eggplant; and Richly Revered, a deep plummy brown. I’ve been wearing two of the four this week, Japanese Spring and Richly Revered, and because of how sheer they are, we get along just great.

Japanese Spring looked familiar to me when I met it, but it took me a little while to place. MAC Ever So Rich — that’s what it reminds me of — one of my favorite Cremesheen Glasses of all time.

I think Spring’s light touch of pink is what keeps it looking natural, and I like the subtle kick it gives to pink and purple lipsticks when it’s worn on top.

Sheer plummy brown Richly Revered, the second shade I’ve been wearing, strikes me as a good work shade. I like that I don’t have to wear it with a lip liner, which is something I feel I usually have to do with more pigmented glosses.

Have you tried any of the Cremesheen Glasses before? What do you think of the way they feel? I find myself liking them even more this time of year when my lips are dry. They just feel so good…and comfortable. Moisturizing, non-sticky (great for windy days when you have long hair) and smooth, too, they’re the glosses I reach for when my lips aren’t 100 percent. I also love that signature MAC vanilla taste and scent. 🙂

Too bad the Cremesheen Glasses don’t last nearly as long on my lips as MAC’s Lipglasses do (about two hours vs. 4-5), but that’s alright by me. With something this comfortable, I don’t mind having to reapply.

PRICE: $18.50 each
AVAILABILITY: Coming soon to North American MAC counters and stores and online December 26; internationally in January

Lavender Whip was the pale purple lipstick, and the Cremesheen glass that went with it was called Ever So Rich. That’s my all-time favorite MAC lip combo! They’re both in my purse right now!

Ah, thanks Erin. I wear that combo too; I just mixed up the names.

      Have a great weekend!

For Daphne Guinness, those colors look uninspiring. I like her better at Nars.

I LOVE Cremesheen glasses. Deelight and Geo Pink from the Semi Precious collection are my faves

Ahh I want Japanese Spring, if only for its name! Good to know it’s natural and wearable on you even though it’s cool-toned.

Cremesheen Glasses are my favorite lipgloss formulation …. mostly because its not sticky. i can live w/ the lesser wear time, but it kinda sucks that i get less ounces for my dollar!
