NARS Unsung Heroes: Red Square Velvet Matte Lip Pencil

December 24th, 2011 by Karen 7 Comments

NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Red Square ($24), tonight’s unsung hero, has a lot in common with MAC Lady Danger and NARS Heat Wave, but while it hangs out in the same bright reddish orange circles, it sports sportier, travel-friendly attire.

Whenever I don’t want to deal with lip liners and brushes, Red Square’s pencil packaging makes it easy to just line and go. For vintage, reddish orange lip looks, it’s the first lippie that comes to mind when I want something easy and convenient.

In addition to its color and convenience, I also love the finish — a straight-up matte, without any shine.

So elegant…

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

P.S. Merry Christmas Eve! Wherever you are, and whatever you’re doing, I hope you’re having a great night. See you in the morning! 🙂

It looks fantastic on you, Karen! However, I’m a bit scurred of bright red/orange lip colors. Maybe I’ll wear it around the house…

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOURS!!!

I love that I’ve found your blog! We have the same complexion and it’s nice to FINALLY see how many of the products out there look on someone with very similar colored skin. I’ve been looking for a red color forever, and this looks great on you. WIll have to give this a try. 🙂
