Cheeks Are Having Deep Rose for Dinner With MAC Glamour Feast Cremeblend Blush

It took me a few unsuccessful attempts to get the hang of deep rose MAC Cremeblend Blush in Glamour Feast ($21). For me at least, it’s a little testier than neutral pink Tease Your Tastes, its comrade in the MAC Indulge collection.

Feast is darker and more pigmented than Tease, and where Tease requires an easy swipe, blend, blend, Glamour Feast takes a swipe, dilute, dilute, blend, blend…then blend some more. LOL!

It can look a little patchy if it doesn’t have a smooth surface on which to work. I introduced it to a bunch of different foundations but got the best results with a Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick as a base. Then I applied Feast with a MAC 188 Duo Fibre Brush.

The 188’s small brush head precisely deposits product in thin layers, making it really easy to control and place the blush exactly where I want.

If you’re blessed with a darker skin tone, this should look AMAZING on you! — especially when worn with berry or plum lipsticks.

I don’t think that red would work on my skin.

Would you have any recommendations for blushes that would actually help neutralize a bit of redness in the cheek area?

Hi Lauren, I hear peach blushes help neutralize redness. Stay away from pink esp with red tones.

I’ve heard this too. Lauren, what brands do you like to wear?

I don’t have too much preference with brands, I do like more mid range prices though! 🙂 I do prefer peach blushes, I just was wondering if there’s any specifically that are light enough to cancel out a bit of redness?

I don’t think it’ll work too well for me but such a gorgeous color for deeper skin tones!

You can do it! Just use a light touch.

    u look lovely karen!
p.s. i’m really bummed that i cant go back and comment on recent posts (as recent as August). I know it must be hard for u to keep up with so many posts, but at the same time if i cant comment on an old post and kicked back to a new one it seems kind of irrelevant to bring up an old post. anyways don’t mean to vent, just letting you know what it feels like.

eg. today i wanted to let u know i tried sonia kashuk satin luxe lippie in pinky beige, but it was too beige and not enough pink, so I returned it and got Violetta instead…let me just say I was skeptical about such a dark color on me but it looks gorgeous! I think u might like it especially for fall!
I see you are liking very dark shades lately, which i usually can’t pull off, but with a light hand and a little blotting, violetta is a GORGEOUS color for fall!
