Benefit Majorette Booster Blush Puts Pep on Your Cheeks and in Your Step

Two, four, six, eight, what do we appreciate!?

Easy blush! Easy blush! Yaaaaay, Benefit! [INSERT HIGH KICKS HERE]

OK…I was never a cheerleader (more of a band geek), but I’m cheering for Benefit’s new Majorette Booster Blush. It’s fun and easy to use, has a cream-to-powder formula, feels super silky, and the packaging is shaped like a cute little drum.

The silky formula almost feels kind of slippery on my fingertips, and it’s easy to zhuzh out the edges when I pat it on bare cheeks or on top of foundation, which I appreciate when I’m movin’ and shakin’.

I like that it doesn’t settle into my pores and that it lasts 5-6 hours on my combo oily/dry skin before I feel like I need a touchup.

Oh, and it does have a faint fragrance.

Really faint, though. I have to get my nose up in the pan to detect it, but I think it smells like peach gummy candies.

Yes, boom. Those are awesome. 🙂

The look is matte and natural, which should be a great option for gals and guys heading back to the classroom.

Which reminds me, I wish I’d had a better appreciation for minimal makeup when I was in my tweens, teens and early 20s. When you’re that age, it’s easy to get away with very little makeup (that flush of youth and all). This is a great blush to accentuate a youthful glow without going full-on makeup crazy.

But at any age, I’d give three cheers to Majorette. It’s a cheerful, easy-to-use, undaunting blush (all ya need are fingers!), and I love that it reminds me that makeup doesn’t have to be so serious.

PRICE: $28
AVAILABILITY: Permanent collection, and coming this September to Benefit counters, stores and also online
MAKEUP AND BEAUTY BLOG RATING: B+/A- (I wish it lasted a tad longer so I could go even more time between touchups… Mucho lazy, yo!)

Karen

That looks so pretty! The only thing is the packaging looks a bit chunky, but I don’t think that will stop me from trying it! Hopefully more colours are released in the future.

I’m in my mid to late twenties and do the natural makeup almost everyday, I definitely wish I had appreciated it when I was younger!

Nice blush but it doesn’t seem to do justice on your skin coloring. It does add a fresh dose of color but yet looks washed out. Maybe its good for the fairer skin tones and does not seem to compliment warm and olive tones. Hope to try it before considering the purchase.Sorry if I was too direct!!Your blog and posts are always lovely.Just a difference of opinion.

Can anyone compare this to illamasqua lover? or urban decay blushers I have both? I find my bourjois cream blush tends to (dissapear) emphasise my pores (however I have powdered lightly before adding this)

    Thanks lou
