Ooh. Sequins on clothing. This fall, I wore a sequin dress from Nordstrom Rack ($400 down to $60, oh yeah!) to a 20s themed wedding and I was dropping sequins all night!! I picked up as many as I could but eventually I stopped caring. It was such a pain, and I don’t think I’ll wear that dress again!

My skin is sensitive, aging, and oily – so it’s a real PITA to deal with. Mix in mild rosacea and you can just imagine the issues. It’s manageable, but I have to be VERY careful what goes on it.

How do you feel about sequins on clothing? – Clothing only?? I love sequins on LOTS of things!! Of course, there’s that fine line between tacky and fab, but in general, I am a huge sparkle supporter.
Do you give your pets gifts for the holidays? – Yes. Yes, I do.
Were you ever scared of the mall Santa when you were a kid? – No way!! I was straight up Buddy-the-Elf-excited, like, “SANTAAAAA!!!!”
Have you ever worked a seasonal holiday job? – Oh, I sure have! That what all my jobs are, lol. Currently I work at a ski area (3rd winter there) and also just started serving at a brewery (beer wench, ftw). The ski thing, I used to just do that during Christmas vacation from college, but now I do it full-time, all winter. Then I go work at a marina in the summer for boating season.
What’s your skin type? – Combo-oily in winter. In the summer, it’s pretty much normal-oily.

With 3 young children I don’t have many occasions to get dressed up and do my hair and makeup, so the times that I do really stand out to me! lol The last time I got dressed up and did my makeup was just last week to go to our sons band concert. He is a drummer and it was the first time for me seeing him play! He was wonderful and great and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for him 🙂
