Satisfy Your Pink and Coral Cravings With The New Dior Addict Lipsticks From the Cherie Bow Collection

December 12th, 2012 by Karen 23 Comments

That’s Dior Addict Lipstick in Candide ($31), from the Cherie Bow spring 2013 collection, on my lips

The three new lightweight, creamy Dior Addict Lipsticks in the Cherie Bow collection ought to be gift wrapped.

Oh, wait! — they are. In a manner of speaking. Dior wrapped these pretty pink and coral spring lippies in a finish so fetching that it shines bright like a diamond. (Gah! I’ve got that Rihanna song stuck in my head!)

Light pink Candide, pinkish coral Charmante and rosy pink Espiegle are also addictive, as the Dior Addict name implies. If lips could dream, mine would fantasize about this marvelously moisturizing formula and slick, smooth texture.

Whenever I wear these, I walk around rubbing my lips together, mrmm, mrrmm, mrrmm…

As for funky fragrances and flavors, they have neither. They’re unscented and unflavored.

If you do decide to give these a try, your dominant hand might get a workout, as you pull one out of your purse about every two hours to reapply. That’s about how long they last for me.

No big deal. I think it’s worth it considering how smoooove they feel. Plus, every time I see one of those gorgeous tubes, I feel all fancy-schmancy.

PRICE: $31 each
AVAILABILITY: Coming soon to Dior counters and dior.com
MAKEUP AND BEAUTY BLOG RATING: B (I wish they lasted longer…)

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

P.S. Happy hump day, and have an awesome 12-12-12. 🙂

The packaging is quite fetching but I’m sure they’d wash me out! Will look pretty on paler beauties though!

For such a high price I would want my lipstick to last longer. The packaging, however, is too luxurious to avoid these babies… :D:D

I have Charmante and it really IS very charming! It’s true that I wish it’d last longer, but the sheerness makes it SO easy to wear! I have made a dent in mine already 🙂

Those colors are so pretty, just won’t go well with my skin tone. Espiegle is the only one I might be able to use.

The colours are really pretty. It’s a shame it doesn’t last longer though. I’d have expected better for the price.

I like those lipsticks. Espiegle looks really pretty on you. I can’t wait for your reviews of the palettes. And I like the theme of this collection, I love bows!

I LOVE lipsticks like these! I know they don’t last very long, but I guess that’s the trade-off for such a lovely, sheer, shiny finish! I really want Charmante! It’s interesting that Espeigle is not a peachy color like its blush counterpart though

I love the names of these lipsticks. They make so much sense.

In French, these lipsticks are naive (Candide), charming (Charmante) and mischievous (Espiegle) which is exactly how I think bows can make a person look, depending where they are and how they are draped. I really love Charmante and Candide the most, mainly because I love pinks and those are the two words I’m called most by others; my mom calls me a clever little Smurf and there’s no Ingenieux in this batch! 🙂

Although…..I guess espiegle does come close, eh?

They arent my fave lipsticks — something about the texture is all wrong for me. But the colors are super pretty!
