Why Wait for the Holidays to Have a Holiday Dessert? The $22 Too Faced Glamour-to-Go Spun Sugar Edition Palette Is Quite a Treat

Wearing the new Too Faced Cosmetics Glamour-to-Go Spun Sugar Edition palette

Truth? I’d rather be busy than bored, but at the same time, I don’t ever want to be so swamped that I’m totally deprived of any glam time. ‘cause girlfriend desperately needs her glam time! (…she says as she types the previous sentence wearing an old karate workout t-shirt, a pair of shorts that are missing a button and different eyeshadow colors on each eye.)

But who knows? Maybe Tabs will decide to take me on the road with him one of these days… Help him work the fashion week circuit. I’d have to be prepared to go from tow up to “Faaaabulous, dahhhling!” at the drop of a paw.

When/if that day comes, I know I’ll be ready with the Too Faced Glamour-to-Go Spun Sugar Edition Palette ($22).

Too Faced Glamour to Go Spun Sugar
Edition

This travel-friendly limited edition cutie comes dressed to impress in a dainty gold compact. Inside you’ll find two tiers of festive, holiday party-perfect gold and silver makeup for eyes, cheeks and lips.

Because the powders are quite pigmented, it wouldn’t take long to get ready for a party. You could start by patting either a gold, silver or bronze eyeshadow on your lids, smudge one of the darker eyeshadow colors along your lash lines, and follow with a few quick swipes of bronzer and blush on your cheeks.

The Glamour-to-Go Spun Sugar Edition palette

An on-the-go beauty palette for eyes, cheeks and lips that houses…

  • Eight powder eyeshadows
  • One warm bronzer
  • One blush
  • One gold gloss

The gloss? — eh. I could probably do without it. It’s awfully goopy, and the fact that it’s sandwiched between the bronzer and blush makes my eye twitch a little…but I guess if I were desperate, I’d grin and wear it. 🙂

It’s definitely not enough to turn me off of this palette.

PRICE: $22
AVAILABILITY: Available now at Ulta and Sephora stores, and online at toofaced.com
MAKEUP AND BEAUTY BLOG RATING: A-

An affordable, sturdy, cute little compact with pigmented eyeshadows and blushes? Spun Sugar is one of my favorite things about the Too Faced holiday collection so far.

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

YAY! How are you liking the colors, Nina? Aren’t the golds especially pretty?

The golds are gorgeous! My fave thing to do is the gold in the crease and above; and then the gray in the lids. The end result is a soft and wearable smokey eye!

      Hi Agata,

Thanks, my friend. Oh — wanted to let you know that I haven’t forgotten about your hair tutorial. I should be able to do it after this week is over. Things have been kinda crazy and my schedule will give me more time next week to do the pics. 🙂

Would it be possible to pop the gloss out? I hate having gloss in with the powders but if I could pop it out and toss it, I might want this!

I hate glosses w/ powders too. Ive actually scraped out the glosses in all my Glamour to Go palettes. I transferred them onto little jars.

It left an emtpy well but its OK. I can deal with that. I cant deal w/ the gloss+powder sitch.

I love the packaging. But I don’t wear this kind of shades often, so I’ll pass. Thanks for the review.

    Nice variety of colors!

Just thought I’d let Tabs know that his bunny-buddy Quincy had to get an abcess tooth removed yesterday 🙁 Quincy’s doing well (seems to be his normal self) but he has to get antibiotic injections every other day for a while.

    My poor credit card!

Tabs sends Quincy extra love. Poor thing! I’m glad he seems to be holding up, but having injections is never fun. 🙁 Please give him a hug for me.

Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday! I hope that you (and the fur kids) had a nice week. Got any exciting plans? My in-laws might be coming up to spend some time with us. Other than that it’s looking pretty mellow at the moment.

I have homework to do, as usual! I have a 4 page paper due at midnight on Sunday, so obviously I haven’t started it yet :p I also have some finance and other homework to do, ugh!

I just spent a long time petting Quincy and getting bunny kisses, so he sends some to you and Tabs!
