Hi, gals. 🙂 Happy Friday!
Ahh, do you smell that? It’s the scent of you snagging LORAC’s Front of the Line eyeliner on d e e p discount.
I got an email from the company this morning announcing the sale. These water-resistant, felt-tip liners normally sell for $20 apiece, but you can get ’em now for $10 at Lorac.com (while supplies last).
Front of the Line comes in three shades — Black, Brown and Green. I haven’t used these exact ones before, but I am a big fan of LORAC’s Front of the Line Pro (which I love more than flip-flops, stinky cheeses AND Jersey Shore). I’m hoping the non-pro version, which looks and sounds very similar from the pictures and reviews I’ve found online, wears just as long and goes on just as smoove.

Guess who just shaved her toes?

P.S. Bobbi Brown fans! Mark your calendars. Tuesday, January 12 at 12:30 p.m. EST, Ms. Brown (if ya nasty!) will host a live Twitter Q&A. For two hours, she’ll answer questions and provide personalized advice, FUN! I’ll definitely be there. 🙂

Tonight I stopped by the mall to get an up close and personal look at the rest of the two brand-spankin’ new MAC collections that arrived today, All Ages, All Races, All Sexes and MAC in Lillyland. 🙂
I set out to find my favorites and brainstorm with the makeup artists at the counter to find the best of the rest.

Lillyland’s color palette takes me straight to the tropics, with glistening sparkles like droplets of rain on exotic flowers in shades of vibrant pink, orange and purple.
Cremeblend Blush in Florida ($19). Florida looks shockingly pink in her pan, but she applies like a semi-transparent hot pink on cheeks. My MAC buddy Rose loves Florida, which she called a dead ringer for MAC Dollymix powder blush (an all-time fave!). I’ve always wanted a cream blush version of Dollymix… I guess some dreams really do come true! 🙂

All four of the Cremeblend Blushes ($19 each). Don’t be scurred, holmes! They may look bright in their pans, but these creamy blushes, with their dewy finish, go on like transparent washes of color. Wear ’em on bare skin OR above your foundation and/or powder. So purty!

Pearlmatte Face Powder ($27). MAC artist Michelle called this pan of powder the Lillyland product that would wear best across the board. She suggested swirling the shimmery brown, peach, gold and pink shades together to create a golden brown. BONUS: Should work great as either a blush or a highlighter.

Oh, the pink packaging, the adorable photo of the polar bears, and the slick title font… THE FONT! — is that Helvetica Neue Ultra Light?!
Reacting to this perfect storm of marketing cuteness, I just impulse purchased these $12 Bear Naked Makeup Wipes by Josie Maran.
I tried to resist — honest, I did — but part of the proceeds go to the Polar Bear SOS Initiative. How cool is that?

With 30 wipes per package, the cost breaks down to about 40 cents a wipe — a little on the expensive side, but you’re mostly paying for what you don’t get…
That is to say, these wipes come without parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrances, synthetic dyes, petro-chemicals and phthalates. 🙂 They’re biodegradable and feel oh-so-gentle on my skin, too, thanks to a soothing blend of aloe vera, chamomile, cucumber and vitamin E.
And Tabs likes that they’re 100% cruelty free.

Did you catch the People’s Choice Awards last night? Country-crossover darling Taylor Alison Swift (who was ROCKING that cute lil’ white dress and silver heels, LOVE!), snagged the award for Favorite Female Artist of the Year. Go Taylor!
The young singer/songwriter’s (born December 13, 1989) career is on fire right now, but she’s been at this for a while. Who knew that the fourth grade national poetry contest she won for her three-page poem titled “Monster in My Closet” would eventually lead to this? Or that by age 10 she’d be composing and writing her own songs?
Her 2006 self-titled debut album exclusively featured songs she’d either written or co-written herself.
Yet Taylor’s talents do go beyond singing and writing. She also plays guitar (including the 12-string… that’s a LOT of strings, yo!), piano and ukulele.
And she’s even on her way to the silver screen, starring in the soon-to-be-released Valentine’s Day, with Julia Roberts, Ashton Kutcher and Jessica Alba.
Looks like the Kanye incident didn’t slow her down at all. Keep rockin’, T! 🙂

Um, I have an idea. Let’s pretend we’re SSPs (Secret Sephora Pals). We’ll sneak away from work to take long beauty breaks together, and just go CRAZY swatching and checking out everything new.
But before we go, let’s take a second to catch up with the girls of Daily Makeover’s Beauty Bloggerati. Maybe they’ll come too!

We’re in a booty-freezing cold snap right now, ladies! If you’re hunkered down in front of your computer screen wearing mittens, five layers of fleece and your puffy “Jenny from the block” jacket, then you’re ready to feel the heat of Smashbox’s new Heartbreaker collection for spring.
It might even be hotter than Paul Walker’s abs. 🙂

The first time I spotted the limited edition, 10-piece collection’s shiny white packaging — check out the lil’ kiss, aww! — I felt my temperature rise!

All the artists were buzzing about it at Sephora today, about the packaging, bright colors and girly vibe. With its corals, hot pinks, teals, purples and easy-to-wear neutrals (for balance), I think it just feels right.

Oh, and if you’re a fan of MAC’s discontinued LipGelee in Lu-Be-Lu, then you’re in luck. Smashbox’s Berry Hot Lip Shine sure looks like a dupe to me.
