You Can’t Help But Notice This Beautiful, Bold Stranger: The New $35 NARS Beautiful Stranger Nail Polish Set

November 1st, 2013 by Karen 12 Comments

NARS Beautiful Stranger Nail Polish Set
The NARS Beautiful Stranger Nail Polish Set (with the lips from NARS Fling Lip Kit)

The new $35 NARS Beautiful Stranger holiday nail polish set, the only nail set in the Guy Bourdin collection, comes with four nail polish minis packed with pigment.

Shameless Red, my favorite of the bunch, could have been called Shameless Coral, and I would have liked that because I have no quarrels with corals. I love coral, and this one feels very tropical to me. It reminds me of hibiscuses.

The purplish shade, Dance Dance Dance, despite its awesome name, is probably my least favorite one. I had to apply three coats because I saw some streakiness after two.

Oh, I’m not wearing a base or top coat with these…only because I didn’t want to take the time. I would for normal wear to eek out as much longevity as possible.

As for the set overall, which is available now for $35, not bad. Not bad at all. The colors are bold and pigmented — definitely the kinds of colors you can spot on someone’s nails from across a room, and that’s pretty cool.

The set, which sells for $35, is available now.

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

I have never tried NARS polishes so this might be a good kit to look into. I am especially loving Shameless Red, pinky reds are kind of my weakness.

Manosque is a beautiful colour. Its very unique as well. Not a big fan of the Dance Dance Dance purple just isn’t really my thing.
