Pics and Swatches of the MAC Nocturnals Mini Gloss and Mini Tinted Flavoured Lip Conditioner Kits

November 1st, 2013 by Karen 16 Comments

MAC Stroke of Midnight Collection
A smattering of delightful delectables from the MAC Stroke of Midnight and Nocturnal holiday collections, available now online, and coming to MAC counters and stores November 7

In case you weren’t sure which of the four Mini Lip Kits from the new MAC Nocturnals collection to get (or which ones not to get), here are some pics and swatches to hopefully help.

For reference, I’m a MAC NC42.

The collections include three Mini Gloss Kits (in Coral, Nude and Pink) and one Mini Tinted Flavoured Lip Conditioner Kit, all of them arriving to MAC stores and counters November 7 (although they’re available now online). 🙂

Let me know if you’re planning to get any of these or if you already have.

I’m all about the Coral…

The coral set is the winner in my opinion. All the colors look so good. I think I will add this set to my Christmas wishlist.

      Hi Agata,

Great choice! 🙂 Have you worn any of the Cremesheens? I think they’re some of the best glosses in the MAC line. I love them this time of year because they’re so moisturizing.

Believe it or not, I don’t own a single Creemsheen! I know, what a shame. They look super glossy and moisturizing!

No way! Maybe try one first to see if you like the formula. This one is my favorite from the permanent collection: Double Dare. They wear quicker compared to the Lipglasses but I still think they’re lovely.

Do you like the lip conditioners? I’m thinking about getting those since I can’t decide which gloss kit i like the best!

      Hi Rachel,

I do. Although I do wish they were a little more pigmented! If your lips are pigmented like mine then they might all look the same.

The scents/flavors are all very lovely. Light and fades fast, and each shade has a distinct one. 🙂

If you’re all about pigment, then one of the Mini Gloss Kits might be better. My vote is for Coral or Nude. 🙂

That top picture is what dreams are made of. I am eye-ing both the Coral and Nude kits. If only some colours could be mixed and matched, then I could have the best of both worlds. Thanks for the great swatches, Karen!

I’m tempted to get the coral kit. How’s the texture on these? Are they sticky? I like the lip conditioners – I can never resist a good lip balm type thing, but they don’t look pigmented enough to each look different. I wish they sold these in singles so I could just get one.

If you had to narrow it down to just one set, which would you recommend?

I’ve spent so long on the internet today that my head really hurts now! Is it just me or are the pics for the coral and pink the same?

I like the coral best but I only need the two darker colors. I have plenty of nudes glosses already. Might pick up the Nude set as a Christmas gift for my niece.

OMG these are going to be hard to resist! The coral one is gorgeous but so are the darker shades in the other 2!
