Adventures in Cheesecake Factory-osity

July 29th, 2014 by Karen 19 Comments

That crispy basil, though!

I wish I could take credit for this beautiful plate of spaghetti and meatballs (OMG! The fried basil on top!), but alas, to quote Shaggy, it wasn’t me.

The dream makers at The Cheesecake Factory are responsible for this dish, which El Hub enthusiastically consumed.

Yup, I went back again last weekend for the grilled salmon. 🙂

I brought most of it home because I was already kind of full after the avocado egg roll appetizer. (“Avocado, Sun-Dried Tomato, Red Onion and Cilantro Fried in a Crisp Wrapper. Served with a Tamarind-Cashew Dipping Sauce.”)

I don’t even want to know how much sweat equity I’m going to have to put in after that meal, but man! — that ish was great.

You know what I just realized? I don’t remember the last time I actually had cheesecake at The Cheesecake Factory… I’m always too full by the end of the meal to get dessert.

I’d like the usual, please
Oh, the miles I’ll have to run…

It’s all about the brown bread
Cheers!

Ohhhh, Cheesecake Factory! I’m from Australia and had my first run in with this place in Chicago… I had a slice of the carrot cake cheesecake… I can still remember it and it still makes my mouth water 3 years on lol I wish we had them here 🙁

We have the same Cheesecake Factory bread tastes, luckily the man loves the white bread, leaving the tasty brown all to me omnomnom 🙂

I love The Cheesecake Factory! The first time we went to one was in Waikiki, HI in 2005. I wish we had them here in Canada. I live in the suburbs outside of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. I try to go at least once a year, we drive to Bellevue, WA outside of Seattle and go to the one there. It is about a two hour drive each way(not including the border lineup) When we went to Disneyland last year I checked before we left home and we went to the one in Anaheim. I was so excited last year to have the pumpkin cheesecake, I have wanted to try it for a few years and I got the last slice. 🙂 I always have cheesecake there even though I am always so full after the meal. I love the bread too! 🙂

This post doesn’t make sense for this blog, nothing interesting or original about it and doesn’t fit with the blog theme.

Hi, Karen. Sure it does, and I think delicious food is extremely interesting and often quite beautiful.

I should warn you that future posts will at times feature other foods, as well as cats, spiders, TV shows, movies, shoes, cats, cats and gardening tips. 🙂

Yes to all of those! Except spiders.. because well they scare and creep me out, lol. I also would love if there were Cheesecake Factorys in Canada. Just like the above poster Denise, I too went to Disneyland last year (LOVED IT) and our last night before we went home we tried the restaurant. OH do I regret not going there earlier. I keep telling my boyfriend next time we go back to Disneyland we are eating there multiple times !!

Girl I’m sure that it’s important to the blog, if it only talks about beauty it will boring; I love to know more about Karen (the author).

    That avocado dish!! *stomach rumbles*

We’re having homemade pizza tonight, and the dough is ready! I think I’m going to have to move a little faster to quiet my belly now that I’ve seen this post!

My favorite thing about avocado rolls is that no one else in my family likes them so I can scarf the entire plate! 🙂 I’m grateful that our nearest Cheesecake Factory is 3 hours away or I’d be there weekly, too. And I wouldn’t be making good choices like you with the salmon! HAHA!

Btw, good for you on the reply above. It’s sad to see that even awesome blogs like yours get trolled. 🙁

Hi, Kim! Oh, they were so good. First time I’d had them and it won’t be the last.

Like you said, that’s exactly how I am about Olive Garden. We’re lucky the closest one is a couple hours away. I friggin’ love those damned bread sticks and the salad when they bring the big bowl out to the table. I’m like, ok what’s everyone else having because this is mine. 🙂

      How’s it going, btw?

I’m with you about Olive Garden, too (and thankfully that’s about an hour drive for me). I’m a total bread-fiend. Thankfully the boys love bread, too, so I try to let them scarf it all. They can afford it! 🙂

We have about a 2 week break before we’re back to 3 nights per week of the kids’ sports. Right now it’s only 1 night so we’re in heaven. It’s so nice not to be constantly rushing! I hope you guys are having a great summer!!

I have never eaten at a Cheesecake Factory. And there’s one about a mile from my home. That avocado dish looks so yummy. Tamarind cashew dipping sauce!! Sign me up. Tamarind on anything and I’m there.
Love when you do posts on what you enjoy eating and when you post pics of the ever gorgeous Tabs.

I love the Cheesecake Factory!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The food is so yummy, freshly made and very filling. The only time I ever have dessert there is if we go there with a large group. Even the dessert portions are too big for just the 2 of us 🙂

Karen, it would be boring if you only talked about beauty related subjects. There’s so much more to life than make-up….LOL Yep, this is advice from someone who showers, puts on moisturizer followed by sunscreen and then spends at least 10 minutes trying to decide which eyeshadow palette I’m going to play with that day…rofl

    hugs,
    Shayna
