The New NARS Nail Polishes in Barents Sea and Algonquin From the Laced With Edge Holiday Collection

Oh, the life of the easily amused… I wouldn’t have it any other way!

I get a weird kick out of knowing that underneath my socks and boots I’m wearing two different shades of nail polish.

I couldn’t decide between royal blue Barents Sea and violet Algonquin (both from the NARS Laced with Edge Holiday collection), so I stopped trying to decide and went with both. 🙂 I also wanted to see how long it would take El Hub to notice that I was wearing different colors on each foot…

That man is full of surprises, I tell ya! I thought it would take him at least three days, but he said something within 45 minutes. This from the same person who took two weeks to notice the time I dyed my hair pink!

Smooth and pigmented Barents Sea and Algonquin are limited edition shades from the NARS holiday collection, available now at NARS counters and online for $20 each.

I’m wearing two layers in the pic above, but I could’ve gotten away with one.

I feel like I’ve seen these colors before over at OPI, but I still like ’em. Those limited edition bottles speak to the hardcore collector in me.

About those boots…

The boots! I had a $20-off coupon to DSW burning a hole in my pocket, so I picked up these Crown Vintage Tuff Booties last Saturday.

Tabs appears to like them.

I love these boots! And that purple bail polish looks pretty. I’m slightly scared of wearing blue metallic nail polishes after one from China Glaze stained my nails really bad for weeks.

Forget the boots! (they are really cute) I want to know where those socks are from!! DSW as well? They look very familiar and I was just there about a week ago!

Pretty! I particularly like Algonquin (it also happens to be the name of the 2nd highest mountain in NYS). 🙂

I like the boots – I have a sort of similar pair of black motorcycle boots. I’m a fan of the buckles.

I’m in love with Algonquin and Sherwood! I like the blue too but I’m more drawn to the others. That boot is super cute. I love that it has a hidden wedge too!

So glad you shared where you got those boots. They are super hot. I need a pair!! So glad to see Tabs approves of your pedicure. He’s adorable.
Love the Algonquin. Unfortunately, I’m on a “no purchases allowed” sentence until the end of the month.

      Hi Tatiana,

Thank you! I got them for a steal, too, with my $20 off coupon. I swear DSW is my home away from home.

TGIF, by the way. What are ya up to this weekend?

Up to this weekend? Uh, uh, um, sneaking away to DSW to see if I can find a pair of those boots behind El Hubs back? Supposed to be on a budget, but those boots are calling to me. And the price is right, right? Not like they’re Jimmy Choo’s.
Good luck Sunday! I’ll be thinking about you. Hope your half marathon goes well!

Guess what? My DSW is literally less than 5 minutes away from my house. I might have to go back tonight so that I can just “look around” (yeah right!). If you end up getting the boots let me know. I think they come in black, too!

And thank you for the well wishes, I’m going to need it.

On second thought, maybe I’ll drive up to The City and cheer for all the runners! I think you’re going to do just fine! 😉
Are those boots running true to size? If I can’t make it to a store, I might just order them online.

I had to go up a half a size. Usually I wear a 7, but in this case I went with 7 1/2.

Wait… I didn’t know you were in the Bay Area?! Whereabouts are ya? I’m in the North Bay.

Both of them are very pretty but I love those boots! They’re super cute and can be worn in so many ways. Great taste!
