With These Nudes, You’re Fully Covered: The Full-Coverage Illamasqua Glamore Lipsticks in Tease, Cherub and Naked

When Sephora stopped carrying Illamasqua (bummer), it made the brand a little harder to find here in the U.S. for those of us who don’t happen to live within driving distance of the Kryolan City stores in Chicago or Toronto.

But if you do live within day-trip distance, and/or you don’t mind paying extra for shipping to order online, you might want to check out Glamore, Illamasqua’s line of full-coverage lipsticks released earlier this fall, because talk about pigment up the wazoo!

There are 15 shades available, and I’ve been wearing three of the nudes — Tease, Cherub and Naked — all of which are completely full coverage and super smooth. They glide on without any patchiness whatsoever. Really pretty to wear with smokey eyes, and other dramatic eyes, I imagine. Wear time clocks in at around 4-5 hours for me, and they have a barely-there rosy lipstick flavor and scent that I like.

They are rather expensive at $30 a tube, but I think you can stretch these out, since you’ll probably only want/need one layer.

PRICE: $30.02 each
AVAILABILITY: Available now online. If you live in the U.S., they can be difficult to find in stores, unless you live near the Kryolan City stores in Chicago or Toronto.
MAKEUP AND BEAUTY BLOG RATING: B+ (I think they’re gorgeous, but they aren’t cheap, and around here in the U.S., they’re also a little hard to find.)

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

    Cherub looks beautiful on you.

Last time I was in Chicago I walked past Kryolan store but there was nobody inside so I felt intimidated to go in because I felt like I’d be pressured into buying something. I had no idea they carry Illamasqua products.

As much as I want to like these, they just don’t do it for me. The drama eyes and nude lips don’t work on me at all. And 30 bones for a lipstick, that’s a bit high for a lip look.

I like Cherub on you the most. My patience is wearing a bit thin with the nudes, as I don’t find them that flattering (as for me, they make me look like on the Walking Dead). That little flurry of colour on the lips really does make a difference. Mind you, you’re gorgeous in just about anything, so it’s a moot point, really!

    Cherub really suits you well.
I love nudes paired with dramatic eyes, mainly because I don’t have to worry as much about touching up as I would have to with a bold lip. Lazy me!
Although I have been wearing quite a bold lip lately, due to the season (oh, those berries!) and due to the fact that you look like you made an effort even though you just did some mascara, liner and then grabbed a lipstick to throw on in the car.

Cherub and Naked. Tease clashes with your complexion. You look like I did when I tried that Lady Gaga Viva Glam Lipglass.

Cherub looks quite perfect! Naked is a very close second. Full coverage and long-wearing, huh? Well done, Illamasqua.

Well the verdict is in and I agree – no tease-ing just be a naked cherub! YEA!

Cherub is very pretty indeed. I love Illamasqua and was sad that it is so hard to get now. Not fair.

I love Naked and Cherub on you! I hate that these are $30 though and they’re no longer available in the US. Double bleh

Apparently Hudson’s Bay is exiting the brand and from what I was told all of Canada. Don’t know if that’s true, but still really sad to hear. When was walking through the Bay, the counter was gone and they had a bunch of their stuff (or I guess the last of it) marked down 50%. It’s too bad they didn’t have colours (Canadian spelling!) that suited me 🙁

Naked and Cherub are lovely on you – Naked looks like the perfect ‘true’ nude on your skintone, almost!

Nude lips on me, especially full coverage, would have Darryl pulling out his crossbow. 🙂 And, speaking of – we have NOT dished about the Dead yet. I’m really liking this season, so far. What do you think??
