Kérastase Reflection Shampoo, Conditioner and Hair Mask for Color-Treated Hair

Unless you’re currently living that Maybach/Balmain/Cartier life, one can’t exactly call Kérastase “budget,” since their shampoos and conditioners are in the mid-$30 range, but if you like their products, or you’ve wanted to try their products, FYI, price cut!

In most cases, they’ve dropped their prices between $2 and $8, which isn’t bad. It makes them a little more accessible.

I’ve been testing a few things I haven’t used before from their Reflection line for color-treated hair — Bain Chromatique Sulfate-Free Shampoo ($30), Fondant Chromatique Conditioner ($34) and Masque Chromatique ($53).

No idea how they compare to their previous pricier versions, because I never used them before, but the company says that the formulas have all remained the same. They just cost a little less.

I started using them this month, and my wavy, dyed hair, which is normally on the drier side, looks noticeably smoother and shinier to me. It also doesn’t feel weighed down. No flakes on my scalp, either, and these don’t strip my color…which is good, considering that they’re designed to not do that.

Performance-wise, these are definitely comparable to Bumble & Bumble and R+Co. Quite good…but still a tad pricey for what you get.

❤️❤️❤️ 3 out of 5 hearts.

Did you know? Sometimes when I get into the shower and want to save some time, I coat the midshaft and ends with conditioner, then shampoo my roots only. It’s quicker than doing a full-on conditioner wash, but it still helps if your ends are super dry.

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

I just bought some bougie customized shampoo from a company called Prose and I’m a bit underwhelmed so far. Plus, fragrance was the second ingredient, instead of things good for your hair. I have pretty manageable hair with most any shampoo tbh.

Oh, my parents had a skinny little tortie girl kitty show up in their yard, so it looks like I might be getting a new sister. She’s very friendly, the feral kitties were being a bit mean to her. Mom and dad have a vet appointment for her on Wednesday to see if she’s healthy enough to take inside, but in the meantime dad put some blankies, a litter box, and food for her in his barn (he hangs out there a lot) and she got the Tinkerbell seal of approval.

Obviously I’m very excited about this! I’m all for you having a kitty sibling! If she does end up adopting your mom and dad you’ll have to post pics; it’s the right thing to do. 🙂

I haven´t tried anything from Kerastase so far, but for me shampoo and conditioner do usually last a long time so I don´t mind spending a little bit more on them.

I’ve tried a Keratase conditioner (or a conditioning mask) in the past and it was way too heavy for my hair but would probably have been great for yours. I love the color of this packaging, though. 🙂

I’ve just started trying their products. I had been using Verb Ghost Shampoo & Conditioner and I just wanted to try something new. I really love the Discipline shampoo and the Nectar Thermique. If you sign up and order from their website, they will send generous samples and send some good offers in emails.

Hmm, I wonder what the name was? I know they have a line of products for volume called Fondant Densité.

It was over 10 years ago and I’d gotten it at a professional show (one of our reps probably also repped that line at the time – which was usually how we got samples!). I remember it being in a grayish package and think it was a hair mask of some kind. Back then, I was blow drying every day and my ends were on the dry side. It was just way too heavy and moisturizing for me, though. There might have been a shampoo as well. Sorry, I just remember it so I’d know to say no thanks to Keratese samples after that. I’m sure I’d have much better luck with the volumizing, as you say. I’m a big fan of Pureology’s volumizing shampoo and buy it by the 55 gallon drum (actually 1L). Which I guess is working out for now since they discontinued it and I HATE their Fullfyl (replacement). 🙁
