These Hollywood Fashion Secret Accessory Dots Are Hiding Something

June 16th, 2011 by Karen 30 Comments

Palm, meet forehead. Repeat two times.

Yeah, I’m having one of those “I totally should of thought of that!” moments. You might do the same thing when you discover the life-changing power (and no, I’m not exaggerating) of these Accessory Dots from Hollywood Fashion Secrets ($5 for 24 dots).

They’re super sticky little double-stick tape dots that adhere to bare skin and clothing to hold fabric in place. Mostly, I use ’em to keep the ends of my belts from hanging down, but they’re also great for closing gaps in shirts, and for securing scarves, jewelry, shoe straps and falling hems.

They’re pretty easy to remove when you’re finished with them and don’t leave behind a residue on skin or clothes. Just peel and throw away. 🙂

I keep at least a couple of them in my purse for wardrobe malfunctions and quick adjustments. Sometimes they come in really handy!

PRICE: $5
AVAILABILITY: Available now at select stores and also online
MAKEUP AND BEAUTY BLOG RATING: A+

That’s pretty cool. And so much more discrete than duct tape. 🙂

Looks like you got out of Vancouver just in time. My goodness, it’s only hockey, people!

I guess people get really fired up. I’m still keeping the dream alive, though. There’s always next year!

That’s how I feel every year for most of the sports I follow! Hope springs eternal! 🙂

I would like to point out that it wasn’t hockey fans rioting. It was idiotic hooligans looking for a form of entertainment – the same ones that showed up at the Olympics with gasoline and matches, etc… Some stupid ‘fans’ hung around a bit at the beginning for pics but the bulk was young men and woman looking for a bit of fun. The true fans headed home, watched the news in shock and horror, and went to bed slightly disappointed (with the rioting and the loss) but extremely proud of their team and can’t wait for next season!

Definitely! I live in Vancouver and my biggest hope is that people realize the riots weren’t about hockey… they were caused by people bound and determined to cause havoc, and being in a huge crowd after a big hockey game loss was just a perfect opportunity for them. Hockey fans don’t riot! Love my Canucks!!!! <3

I swear I thought they were pasties for under sheer shirts. I thought, “Wow, first Karen told the world her bra size and now she’s posting about pasties. That birthday was some turning point!”

    Lova ya Karen! 😉

You guys are hilarious! I can’t wear pasties (too much going on up top), but I have a friend who’s smaller and swears by the ones she buys at Victorias Secret.

Ooh, I’ll have to check out Jo-Ann. Thanks for the tip, Karen! I have some low cut tops that don’t stay in place… maybe these will do the trick!

Okay, that’s genius. I have relatively big boobs and whenever I wear a button-up shirt, I have that gap. I don’t know about you, but I’d rather not flash my bra at everyone. This is a really cool idea.

But…where were these when I needed them last weekend??? Had the perfect outfit planned out except my waist belt had the end hanging off which looked kinda bad so I had to wear something completely different 🙁
These things are definitely a life saver!

I need this. Just today I am wearing a button up shirt and that stupid area below my collar and before my first button just will not sit flat. It bulges up. Which stores can I buy these in?

I’ve been using Hollywood tape for years because I always get gaping when I wear button-downs, it’s awesome! I’ve even had it be sticky after a washing, and yet doesn’t damage the fabric at all. Brilliant. I’ve actually found them discounted at several Steinmarts in SoCal, but you can also order them online.
