BECCA Après Ski Glow Face Palette for Holiday 2017

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again — I am not a snow person.

I mean, I like hanging out in the lodge by the fire with a glass of wine on a bearskin rug after snowboarding… You get back to the cabin after a day on the slopes, have some hot cocoa and snacks. That’s cool, right? And then, like, your skin looks all glowy, like you’re wearing the BECCA Après Ski Glow Collection Face Palette ($45), because you’ve been exerting yourself on the slopes.

BECCA sure knows how to handle seamless integrations, ya know? When I wear their products, I can’t tell where my bronzer stops and my blush begins, and that also goes for their highlighters. Their products melt into each other without leaving any harsh lines. Their Shimmering Skin Perfectors basically blend like you’re frosting a cake.

I’m wearing Bronzed Bondi Bronzer and Winter Perry Blush on my cheeks, and Opal on my upper cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose. The lip is NARS Linda Lipstick.

Après Ski comes with one bronzer, two blushes and three highlighters, and I like to start with warm and toasty golden brown Bronzed Bondi, which I buff on my cheeks and around the edge of my face. Then, I buff a bit of Blushed Copper or Winter Berry blush on the apples of my cheeks before blending one of the highlighters on top.

That effortless glow is the beauty of BECCA’s highlighting palettes.

Après Ski!

I have mixed feelings about the frosty white highlighter called Icicle. It’s kind of funky, and I normally steer clear of things like it, but it has this weirdly wonderful blue flash that you see every once in a while, and I love weird sh*t like that!

I keep it in the inner corners of my eyes and don’t really sweep it over large swaths of my face, though, because I feel like that would be too much. But if you’re a pale princess, ooh, girl! — that blue could look crazy cool.

Icicle is one of the new shades, by the way, as is Winter Berry Blush. All of the other colors are re-promotes.

FYI, if you already have the BECCA Chrissy palette from last summer, this is similar to it.

The Après Ski Glow Face Palette is $45, limited edition and available now at Sephora and Ulta.

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

P.S. TGIF! Honestly, where did this week go??

It’s just so beautiful. 🙂 Thank goodness it’s too frosty for me (the story of my mature life) because I almost had my credit card in hand. HAHA! It’ll be gorgeous for the holidays in particular.

PS Happy Friday. I think I got the rest of your week (mine has been looooong).

Ummm… I am going to be needing this! I was on the fence about it but I think this post helped me (and not my wallet). LOL.
