Snapped this five minutes ago. See the tiny bird in the center? That’s the hummingbird that hangs out in my front yard. Every time she comes to eat I never seem to have my camera, but luckily I had it with me when I took Tabs out for a walk this morning.

It’s official. Warm weather, like Elvis, has left the building.

The evidence: my empty deck after the first rain of the season.

It looks so sparse without the umbrella and the bright cushions. I’m going to miss sitting out there and drinking tea in the mornings.

The rain also flattened Tabs’ catnip plants…

I like to eat an apple with a tablespoon of almond butter.
