5 Lavish, Lovely Berry Lipsticks to Fall for This Fall

October 15th, 2015 by Karen 27 Comments

5 berry lipsticks for fall

Fall.

They say it’s fall, and it did feel like fall here about a week ago. It was cloudy and chilly, and there were leaves falling everywhere outside, but then summer struck back and said, “CUT! Hold your horses! I’m not ready to go…” We had another string of 80- and 90-degree days.

Sooner or later, though, it’ll get cooler and stay that way. It’s a guarantee. 🙁 And when it happens, I’ll be ready for it with these five fall-friendly berry lipsticks.

1. NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Hyde Park ($26)

I really like Reddish berry Hyde Park with bronze, burgundy and brown looks. And even cranberry smoky eyes (Ooh! — give it try sometime with a warm and shimmery cranberry on your lids and a matte orangey brown in the crease). The pencil shape makes it easy to line and fill in my lips without needing a lip liner, so yay for skipping steps! Hyde Park is available now at NARS counters, stores and online.

2. Tom Ford Lip Color Matte in Plum Lush ($52)

This matte plummy berry is a perennial fall fave of mine. It’s Tom Ford’s Plum Lush, and it’s a fairly flat matte that doesn’t really reflect any light. I think it looks extra fantastic when paired with contrasting eye looks that do have a little sheen, like satiny plum smoky eyes, and I also love it with deep plum winged liner. It’s available now at Tom Ford counters and online.

3. Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Jilted ($22)

Jilted is my “party” berry shade because it’s so much fun! I love its slightly blue undertones and shiny finish. Just add falsies and draw crisp black cat eye flicks, and proceed to par-tay. It’s available now at Urban Decay counters and online.

4. NARS Audacious Lipstick in Fanny ($32)

Fanny, Fanny, Fo-Fanny, Banana-Fanny Fo-Fanny, Fee-Fi-Fo-Fanny, FANNY! 🙂 NARS Fanny will take you from your cubicle to the Chevy’s down the street after work, and then back at home for a brisk evening walk with your cat (LOL!). I think of this rich berry shade as my every-occasion berry, because I can wear it everywhere (and I do!). It’s available now at NARS counters, boutiques and online.

5. MAC Satin Lipstick in Rebel ($17)

Don’t you dare tell this powerful plummy berry what to do! It’s a Rebel! — and I bust it out whenever I feel like kicking @ss and taking names. I like it with bold eye looks — the bolder the better. Preferably with lashes, brows, liner and maybe even a little bit of glitter for sparkle. When you feel like going all out, reach for Rebel. It’s available now at MAC stores, counters and online.

Karen

Hey Karen! First of all congrats on your baby:) was so happy to hear:) and i’ve been digging berry lips too just tried to find right shade for me since i have yellow undertones/light olive skin so most berries are too cool/blue toned for me. I was at sephora recently and the MUA suggested smashbox fig..i really like it! All the berry lips look stunning on you:D since i’m just now getting into lipsticks (always been more of a gloss kind of girl) do you know any good berry lipsticks drugstore version to try? (With my skin tone) thanks and happy friday:)

      Hey Y, what’s your skintone?

I really like Rimmel Moisture Renew Berry Rich and Berry Rose- they last a long time and are under $6! And the colors are beautiful!

I think $52 for a lippie is ridiculous. So is 80-90 degree weather in October.

I love the NARS Hyde Park, and it’s a satin, thank goodness, so it won’t be drying like the NARS matte pencils that are sitting in my drawer unloved! I would love to trade weather with you. This weekend, the temps are going down from the low 60s where they are now to the 40s, during the day, ugh. I don’t think I was meant to live in Massachusetts

I am all about berry lips at the moment! Nice picks. I want Nars Fanny every time you wear it!

I recently got two berry lipsticks from Rimmel- Berry Rose and Berry Rich (from the Moisture Renew line) and I love them both. I also love Too Faced Teddy Berry.

We’ve only had one or two days of “fall weather” down here, and saying I’m sick and tired of 90-degree weather is an understatement. I’m THIS close to packing my bag and moving to Alaska. Seriously I don’t remember what it feels like to not start sweating the minute I get out of the shower…
Anyways, I love those berries, Rebel is my favorite in your selection and people keep telling me I should get it. I’ll have to try it on in a store one of these days!

Ha Ha! When I used to live in South Florida, I got so tired of the same weather and now that I’ve been back in New England for years; I’m officially planning to relocate to warmer weather next year!

I looove berry lips! ♡ Nars Fanny looks amazing!! Would love to have it but I’m not sure if I’m willing to shell out $32 for a lipstick.. The berries in my makeup bag are Mac Rebel & Inglot 293 lipsticks. I would recommend Inglot 293. It’s a dark vampy berry color – a great statement lipstick.

Hey, I’ve been wearing UD Jilted the last couple of days! I re-discovered it in my stash. It wears really nicely and leaves a pretty stain behind.

I love MAC Rebel. It just blows my mind that it looks so good on so many different skin tones. For reference I’m a MAC NC10-15 and I love it. Of course I love Plum Lush, too.

I’m still surprised I don’t have Rebel. It’s so darn pretty! Plus it’s like a cult classic. No idea how I keep overlooking it lol. I have Fanny and Jilted and they’re such beautiful shades for fall. I’ve been wearing Fanny off and on all week. I need to pull out Jilted very soon now after seeing how good it looks on you!

Beautiful lippies! My favorites (so far) are MAC Amorous (So underrated), MAC Viva Glam III and MAC Paramount (Another really underrated lipstick that has a gorgeous plummy/brown shade)
