Public Nakedness Epidemic Continues With the New $65 Bobbi Brown Nude on Nude Palette

September 23rd, 2014 by Karen 21 Comments

Bobbi Brown Nude on Nude Palette

NOVATO, California — Police, weary after years of higher than normal public nakedness, are bracing for another surge. Tabs the cat, kitty supermodel and current Makeup and Beauty Blog mascot, feels that it’s Urban Decay’s fault.

“Meow!” says Tabs.

Whatever the cause, all signs point to even more public nudity, and the trend shows no sign of stopping. In fact, a new palette by Bobbi Brown could make things worse.

“Mrow!” says Tabs of the new Nude on Nude Palette.

The $65 palette comes with 12 powder eyeshadows in a mix of neutral mattes, shimmers (metallics) and glitters (sparkles).

The palette contains…

  • 5 x 0.05 oz. matte eyeshadows in Ivory, Naked, Birch, Truffle and Espresso
  • 4 x 0.05 oz. metallic eyeshadows in Golden Pink, Bare, Smoky Topaz and Golden Bronze
  • 3 x 0.06 oz. sparkle eyeshadows in Chiffon, Graphite and Gold

While many makeup lovers still appear hungry for more neutral eye makeup palettes, some are ready for a change. “I love me some practical browns and beiges,” says one woman, speaking on condition of anonymity, “but I wouldn’t mind if something fresh and new came along to blow my high ponytail back, ya know?”

“Meow!” says Tabs, and police agree.

Residents still enthused about nudes are encouraged to seek out the new $65 Nude on Nude palette at Bobbi Brown counters, Sephora stores and online.

The usual dreadful pigmentation we’ve come to expdct from a Bobbi Brown palette. (Smokey nudes was clearly a freak slightly better pigmented palette from her).

She does love her sheer neutrals, right?!

I’ve been eyeing this palette on the Sephora site. It hasn’t gotten great reviews & the sparkles & shimmers scare me. But this girl can never have too many neutrals.

      Hi Kwmechelle,

Don’t let the shimmer scare ya. If you use it sparingly and strategically it can add so much to your eye look! Scout’s honor. 🙂

This is such a dreamy palette for a BB fan like me! I wish there were more mattes here though!

Bobbi does seem to love her sheerer neutrals. You can build them up, though.

A bit too much shimmer and frost for this old gal but the colors seem very wearable, overall – maybe a bit sheer and warm but they look like they’d be nice for a fairly natural eye.

Oh, you already know my agenda for you and for shimmer, LOL! You will see the light eventually. I’m convinced. I think I can hook you with one of the Chanel Illusion D’Ombres. Just you wait!

Why do I suddenly feel like Cindy? You and your agendas! 😉 I’m pretty sure you can talk me into trying just about anything so you’ll no doubt have success with this. I need to get on that droopy eyelid surgery, STAT. HAHA!

Though I’m not too thrilled about another nude palette, I love the way this blog post is written! I love the journalistic tone, and the quotes from Tabs really bring the story to life 🙂

I love Bobbi Brown and can never have too much shimmer and sparkle in my life or on my eyes, but sorry, Bobbi, I’m on to shiny mauves now.

Very pretty, and I love Bobbi Brown, but I think I actually have enough neutral palettes at this point.
