That’s great – I never had any idea. I don’t use it often, but got some for Christmas so this is timely information. I hardly ever use blush b/c I have roseacea and my face is always red in the cheek area anyway so using blush seems silly. I’m hoping the bronzer could help draw attention away from the redness.

    Hi Katee,

You’re welcome. Do you usually wear bronzer?

    Hi Bethany,

Oh great! What kind of bronzer did you get?

If powder bronzer doesn’t work there’s always other forms to try, like gel or liquid. 🙂

I liked the video! I’m going to try that technique today and top off the cheekbones with my new Blonde MSF!

    Have a great Saturday!

    Hi Glosslizard,

Oh nice! What other stuff did you snag from BBR? I ended up getting the Brunette MSF (sooooo much coral goodness!).

Thanks for the tip. I’m gonna try it out, I stopped wearing bronzer because it made me look dirty!

I got the MSF, Strawberry Blonde lipglass (LOVE!) and eyeshadows in Knight and Pincurl. I really liked the Blonde line overall, because it was almost an extension of the Chill collection which I loved, but thought was a bit underpopulated! 🙂 So now I have all the fixin’s for a wonderful wintry gray eye with pink cheeks and lips! Yay!

Thanks for the video! Can you please do a tutorial on how to use highlighter? I want a soft glow, but I don’t know exactly were to use the highlighter. Thanks Karen!

Yeah I read about that method in a magazine, they referred to it as the letter E method, or something like that. I had no idea what they were talking about, your video really helps. Thanks Karen!

Great vid. Nice way to start off a slow morning. 😛 I love bronzer. I use it all year round, it really does give that extra friendly glow to my face.

    Karen,
Thank you so much! I have been wearing bronzer incorrectly and wondering why the heck it didn’t look good on me. Your way is perfect – it adds sun kissed shade in the right places and slims my face at the same time.

    aloha, karen!

just watched this video along with some of the others you posted (shopping cart was a hoot!). thanks for the great make up tips. however, what really shined was your great public speaking ability! i took a public speaking course two summers ago and the most difficult assignment was to record myself doing a ten minute presentation and then post it on the class website. i had to do so many retakes due to forgetting where i was or saying “um” too many times. by the time i did the final version, my voice was so hoarse and i felt emotionally tired. do you do your vids in just one shot, and do you obsess about making it perfect before posting?

I never realized that’s how you’re supposed to apply bronzer. I just bought some from Benefit the other day and got it in the mail yesterday, now I’m anxious to try out this method and see how it works!

    Hi Ellery,

Hmm, maybe the shade you were using was too dark or too matte?

If you don’t like powder there’s always gels and stick bronzer, too.

    Hi Glosslizard,

Oh, lovely! You are so lucky that you can pull off the gray eye looks. I have the hardest time with those.

Knight is a really pretty color in person! Love the glitter flecks in it. I bet it would be pretty applied wet as a liner, oh la la.

Hope you got the chance to get out and enjoy this lovely weather!

    Hi Michelle,

You’re welcome! Yeah, it’s one of those things that’s easier to “translate” if you see it in person.

Do you have a favorite bronzer?

    Hi Nai,

    Aloha! 🙂

That’s fantastic that you took a public speaking class. I bet you learned lots of skills that’ll come in handy in the future!

Regarding the videos, I do a few takes and then just pick the one that’s the least goofy, LOL.

I have a background in drama and public speaking, which also helps, too.

Hope you’re having a great weekend so far!

That’s alright, I wish I could pull off those lovely bronzed looks with the Brunette MSF! Hee hee, I wrote “MSG”! It’s a tasty bronzer, but it gives some people headaches! 😉

The imps and I were invited to a party in the park today! It was warm, sunny and beautiful! I hope you got to grab a little sunshine too!

ha – thanks for the repeat – i was in the back in the cheap seats!

have you tried out the bobbie brown bronzer/blush duo? i like it – it’s not shimmery, the pink is very wearable and it comes with a brush!! i do the fish lip when i apply my bronzer to make my cheekbones more prominent so it’s easier to see where to apply the bronzer on my cheeks and then i also sweep to temple – i’ll try it above the eyebrow – thanks for the visual tip!!

    Hi Glosslizard,

LOL — MAC MSG. Tasty! Addictive!

A party in the park, how fun. I hope cake was involved (takes it to the next level, ya know). 🙂 El Hub and I headed outside, too, to Fisherman’s Warf. The city was beautiful today.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it stays like this, oh, until April.

    Hi Lexi,

You’ll find me in the cheap seats, too, ha!

I haven’t tried BB’s bronzer/blush duo. I planned on hitting up the counter this week to try the Brights Palette so when I’m there I’ll give it a go. 🙂

Hope you had a lovely Saturday!

Great video! I always wondered how the ‘3’ shape worked for bronzer, but now I know.

BTW, I didn’t realize that your voice sounds so very like Reese Witherspoon’s 😛
