The New bareMinerals Remix Collection and Buxom Divine Goddess Luminizer: Club Kids, We’re Pressing Fast-Forward to Summer

Heck, YES! I’d love to go clubbing with you. Are you serious?? Because I’m totally down. We could even wear the new club-themed bareMinerals Remix collection.

But wait — I can only go if we leave the house by 9 and get home by 11:30, midnight at the latest, because that’s when my pumpkin turns back into a carriage.

I love to dance, but I do not need to be shaking my 30-something-year-old groove thing past midnight. Seriously, I don’t.

On second thought, we should leave the club by 11, because I want to be in bed, under the covers, with my mouthguard on (dude, I totally grind my teeth; it sucks!) by midnight.

LOL! Don’t laugh. 🙂 Last time I checked, there wasn’t a rule that says we can’t go out early and come home by midnight. It’s like clubbing 2.0, the remix. You get all the fun of clubbing while being fully functional the next day. Win, win!

Okay, now that we’re done making fun of my tired @ss, let’s get to the good stuff, the new bareMinerals spring Remix collection, which arrives next month (in the middle of winter).

Cute aqua packaging, right? Officially, the limited edition spring collection is supposed to have been inspired by clubbing, and that moment when your body succumbs to the beat (love it when that happens), but I’m getting more of a beachy vibe from it, like makeup for mermaids.

The release features two $30 eyeshadow quads (one with cool-toned blues and greens, the other with warm earth tones), a $22 peachy golden blush, two $18 mascaras (blue and black), a $19 loose bronzer, a $19 loose all-over face color, three sheer $15 lipsticks and a $15 waterproof liner, which isn’t shown here.

There’s also a new $28 liquid highlighter, Divine Goddess Luminizer in Venus, from the bareMinerals/Buxom family that, even though it technically isn’t part of the Remix collection, fits with the feel of the release. It has that same sunny thing going for it, like it’s been kissed by beams of light.

If you don’t want to wait for warm weather before planning your spring and summer makeup look, take a look at Remix.

In many ways, it reminds me of a warm weather launch — brighter eyes and cheeks, bronzed/shimmery skin and summery, sheer lips. Pouncing on it next month would be like buying a summer swimsuit early. I mean, if you like it, why not? 🙂

Look for Remix and the new Buxom Luminizer at bareMinerals boutiques, Ulta, Dillards, Nordstrom, select Macy’s stores and bareminerals.com next month.

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

I like the eye shadow palette ‘The Next Big Thing’ more than “The Wild Thing’.

I love Bare Minerals Ready blushes. They go on so smoothly. Not a fan of “Wild Thing” but I do like “The Next Big Thing”.

Great looking stuff! Thanks for the review and swatches, Karen! I can totally relate to the early bedtime sentiment! I love to dance, too, but wish it could be started at about 7:30 and concluded at 11. 🙂 Why don’t they make “early bird” clubs for those in their 30’s? LOL

Omg I know, I love dancing, but I also love being in bed by 10:30 PM, LOL.

Both eye palettes look fun and summery, for sure! Love them.

Haha ohmygosh I was laughing so hard at clubbing 9 to 11!! I still love to dance all night long, hoping I never grow out of that one :). I am totally excited for this collection, except the lip sheers they are looking a bit too sheer!

Love the mineral shadows and colors. Be bold and try mixing colors that you other wise wouldn’t think of and make your eye’s pop!

The luminizer looks fantastic but the bright colors are so not my thing! You need SKILL to put them on – which I don’t have!

I actually really like this collection, which may be a problem for me as I had thought I wouldn’t like any of the spring collections! Uh oh! I was planning on taking a seasonal break from spending, except things that I REALLY want like that too faced heart blush. And maybe one of those palettes. 😀
