What a Difference a Woo Makes (A MAC RiRi Woo)

September 30th, 2013 by Karen 17 Comments

MAC RiRi Woo

MAC RiRi Woo

It’s kind of amazing, isn’t it, how much of a difference lip color can make to your whole look?

In that pic up top I’m wearing the exact same makeup I wore in this dramatic plummy black FOTD, with the only difference being the red on my lips, instead of the not-so-wearable dark eyeliner (yup, on my lips).

It seems a whole lot less goth, doesn’t it?

That red, by the way, is a combination of MAC RiRi Woo Pro Longwear Lip Pencil, Lipstick and Lipglass.

MAC RiRi Woo

Ya know, this is one of the reasons I love makeup so much — THE POWER TO CHANGE! It’s practically magic. We’re like Hermione, except instead of a vine wood wand, we wave a brush. 🙂

That red is so striking Karen, it looks perfect on you, especially with your beautiful new dark hair! 🙂

I wish I could wear ruby woo, it just doesn’t look right on me for some reason even though reds are my colour. Maybe it’s not yellow toned, must do my homework!

I believe Ruby Woo is listed as a blue-based red on MAC’s site.

Wow, the look with the red lip is perfection. You should be featured in Vogue! And your hairdo is gorgeous too. But it’s very true-the change that make up can bring is unbelievable and what a great way to express yourself and compliment your whole look.

You’re so right! I love makeup just because of that… Also when the change isn’t so noticeable 🙂 btw, you were awesome with that eyeliner, but red suits you perfectly!

You look gorgeous! And that’s what I like about makeup, too. Even just a little change and you’ve drastically altered how you look.

Also, I totally own Hermoine’s vine wood wand. 😀

You look beautiful (and yes, less goth). The power to change is the best, like really. Its why I love makeup. Hope you’ve had a good Monday!

    Definitely a huge difference!

Speaking of Hermione, a girlfriend asked me to be her plus one at a Harry Potter-themed wedding, and I am so excited. There’s going to be a Wizard Rock band, and other stuff. My whole life has been leading up to this.

I like that you know Hermione’s wand is made of Vine wood. 🙂

And Lorde’s song “Tennis Court” is sooo good. Love the look w/ red lips better though.

Dayumn, girl!! You are seriously rocking both lip looks! Never thought that a black lip could look so pretty! MAC should be knocking at your door to feature the red-lip in their promos!

You are giving Tabster a serious competition ;). No, seriously, you are the coolest!

The RiRi Woo trio is SO stunning on you! Got the lipstick but not the liner or gloss. I do like the lipstick on its own, but paired with the gloss it goes to a whole new different level!

How long did it take you to order and checkout? I appreciate that MAC has set up the virtual waiting room for its RiRi launches, but GEEZ! The checkout was painful and aggravating.(Serves me right for doing it @ work :)) I hope they re-release the lipglass for the holidays.
