$9.99 L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Eyeshadow in Emerald Conquest Could Make an Army of Neutral Eyeshadows Surrender

Sometimes I feel like I’m being held hostage by practical neutral eyeshadows. I fall into these long-term relationships with wearable browns, beiges and golds and don’t even realize when I’ve been wearing them on the daily for weeks until something, or someone, like my favorite checker at Target who always notices my makeup as she rings up my bottles of Vitamin Water Zero (Glow is my favorite!), points it out.

Life is way too short to wear beige 24×7, so my makeup goal for the week is to wear at least one look with L’Oreal’s Paris Riche Eyeshadow in Emerald Conquest ($9.99), a quad of super creamy, super pigmented powder eyeshadows.

So pretty, right?! I can’t wait to get that teal, deep blue and glitter up in my mix, perhaps with something like this glittery teal eye makeup look on makeup artist Troy Jensen’s Instagram.

Then I’ll go to Target to buy candy corn because, based on the decorations I’ve already seen in the store, Halloween apparently starts in September now (that’s crazypants).

Emerald Conquest and the other Colour Riche Eyeshadow Palettes (there are eight of them in all) are available now at drugstores, Ulta stores and online for $9.99 each.

I got a purplish one of these on clearance and I like it. If you like Halloween decorations (not necessarily in September!) you gotta check out Pier 1! They have some cool stuff in there, and something tells me Tabs would get a kick out of a giant fake spider!

      Hi Rachel,

Ooh, is it Unforgettable Lilac? I have that one too.

Thanks for the heads up on Pier 1. There is a store in my town! Hopefully I can find something cute there.

Did you pick up any Halloween decorations yet?

      Hi Laarni,

Yes, you should! A little bit of blue on the lower lash line can be so much fun!

The sky blue shade is pretty and will look gorgeous on lower lashline !

Definitely! I’d also add in a black liner, too. 🙂

These have a little too much glitter for my taste, but that emerald/teal shade really is nice. Worth trying out the quad just for that color alone.

You can always use the glitter sparingly so that it’s not over the top. One way is to take the lighter glitter and pat it in the center of the lid. 🙂

I feel like I already own all these colors, so I wouldn’t buy this quad. The swatches look mice though.

There’s lots of other color combos besides this one. You should check ’em out! The colors are pretty intense.

I really like the design in the pan and I’m sure you’re going to wow the Target checker!

These do swatch unexpectedly beautiful. As an aside, last week I wore a similar deep jewel-toned teal on my lower lash line with a neutral smokey eye. Got compliments on my makeup that day 🙂

Love the colors. I’ve tried some of the other shades in this eyeshadow palette but they have been the brown/neutral colors. This would be good to try.

Ooh -the blue and the turquoise look amazing! I might have to go and see if these are available at L’Oreal stands here in NZ (as a fan of blue and turquoise eyeshadows!)

$9.99?! Here in Canada I’ve seen it anywhere from $15-$17. 🙁

I’ve seen these, but was wary about pigmentation. The swatch looks great! Thanks.
