The MAC RiRi Hearts MAC Holiday Collection: Nail Lacquer in RiRi Woo

OK, Rihanna. I get it — you love wearing red. Me too. It never goes out of style.

MAC’s Nail Lacquer in RiRi Woo, a classic cool red with a creamy finish, goes buck wild with pigment! — so much pigment that you can wear one coat and be totally fine.

I strongly suggest wearing it with an industrial strength base and top coat, though, because I applied two coats without either one (laziness, yo!), and huge chips appeared on two of my nails later on the same day I painted them.

Poo.

I mean, I am pretty rough on my nails, so your results may vary. I put mine through a lot, between the typing and the opening of so many cans of gravy, but I question the formula’s ability to keep up with this cat assistant’s lifestyle. 🙂

(I’m only half joking.)

Its too bad that it chips so quickly. Not worth the time to apply it seems!

Stunning red! I only get two (maybe three) days wear out of any nail polish due to chipping or smudges even with a top coat. I’m rather rough on my hands too, but have been diligently wearing rubber gloves to wash the dishes as of late 😉

That helps. So does not having to type all day long. When I’m not at the computer I’ve noticed my mani lasts longer.

You know, I’ve never heard good things about MAC’s nail polishes, at least as it pertains to staying power. Weird!

Yeah, I’ve yet to find one that really moves me in terms of wear.

If you don’t use a base or top coat, OF COURSE it’s not going to wear well!

Hmm… Well, some polishes I’ve worn still wear well, even on their own, like OPI.

And in general, MAC polishes I’ve worn in the past with a base and top coat still chip like crazy. But that’s just my experience.

I have not tried MAC polish in years(remember the old rectangular frosted bottles?) I am hoping to change that soon, but there are so many beautiful reds available this fall, and this one just doesn’t call to me.
