I made a new friend today! His name is Tater, he’s a tabby, and he lives about three houses down on my street.
We struck up a conversation on my walk. I approached him slowly and said “Well met, tabby!” in my high-pitched cat lady voice (the one normally reserved for Tabs), and he immediately flopped over and showed me his tum (the universal cat greeting).
I didn’t have any cat treats with me, but I’ll bring some along next time. Hopefully with some snack bribery, I’ll be able to seal the deal and secure his feline friendship.
He kind of looks like Tabs, doesn’t he? If Tabs was wearing Spanx?
I have a thing for tabby boys with green eyes. 😉
He is almost as beautiful as Tabs! I too have a green-eyed tabby, and they really are special.
Oh my God Tater is ADORABLE!!! He seems uber friendly, and I’m digging those green eyes!
We have Lilly the kitty friend who lives two houses down the street. Her daddy told us that they actually have a garden, but Lilly prefers to wander around the neighborhood and observe what everybody is up to! She has followed us into the building a couple of times. We had to explain to her this is not her home, and that we love her but we’re not her mommy and daddy!

I have such an odd relationship with other peoples’ pets. I don’t have any of my own, but other people’s dogs always come and curl up at my feet and their cats come and curl up in my lap, and I’m sitting there like ‘uh, what do I do now?!’ 😛
What a handsome boy! I did a double take at first because I thought it was a pic of Tabs when he was younger. Perhaps a distant relative? Green eyed tabbys really know how to turn on the charm. 🙂

When I looked quickly, I thought “oh, NO! Tabs has been sick”. Then I realized my mistake. Tell Tabs not to be upset, I only misidentified Tater for a split second.
And, seriously, did you spend the rest of the day thinking, “What’s taters, Precious?”? I totally will. 🙂
Karen, when I first married one of those “surprising husband revelations” was that my hubs carried cat food and treats around in his backpack in case he met hungry strays. Proof that CCM actually do exist!! You two should chat it up one of these times. his interest in makeup is about -534 on the MMS (makeup maven scale). I have to point out that I am wearing eyeliner. 🙂 otherwise you two would hit it off!
My first thought was “aaawww…Tab’s is getting all sexy with the camera lense”. Boy does Tatter look Tabs. The ‘spanx’ comment made me laugh yet it is so true. I miss my backyard kitty. I ran into my neighbour and was told that kitty got hit by a car. My backyard is so empty without him. Thanks for making my day, Karen. I will now head to bed to get ready for my night shift…..hope I have kitty cat dreams.

Tater is adorable, and does look a LOT like Tabs! Especially the eyes :). *Tabs in spanx*-don’t tell him i chuckled :P. What a wonderful tabby team these cuties would make (hey, a cat lady can dream). <3
