It’s a Moisturizing Hair Masquerade, and Tickets Are Only $7: Neutrogena Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Mask

Sooo, I’ve been kind of patrolling my local drugstores, looking around for a not-too-expensive hair mask to help offset the $65 (OMG!!) Kerastase Masque Elixir Ultime I’ve recently fallen in love with, and I’m beginning to think that Neutrogena’s $6.99 Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Mask fits the bill. 😀

First of all, my hair loves the moisture. It contains olive, meadowfoam and sweet almond oils, and I like that I don’t have to use a ton of it because it’s concentrated. A small amount makes my hair crazy shiny and soft.

I should also note that it contains silicones (cyclopentasiloxane and dimethicone), and they’re pretty high up on the ingredient list, so that’s something to consider if you’re trying to avoid them.

I’m OK with them in moderation. My hair starts feeling really heavy and thick with residue if I use silicone-containing hair products on a daily basis, but as long as I only use them once or twice a month, like I do with this mask, no problem.

It smells amazing, by the way. The mask has a light and fresh fragrance that smells just like peaches to me, YUM!

You should be able to track down Neutrogena Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Mask at drugstores near you and online. Around here it’s about $7.

Sounds like a really lovely deep treatment, I’m currently using the L’Oréal Ever Riche masque and it does a pretty good job too! Xx

Your hair *does* look soft. 🙂 I’ve been really liking Alterna’s Bamboo Oil for and everyday, pre-blow-dry product. I just got a sample of the spray but haven’t tried it yet.

Your hair looks great! I really wished I liked this stuff but it didn’t really do anything for my thick frizzy hair:/ I like the Loreal ones the best:)

Your hair looks fantastic! Thanks for the tip- someone gifted me one of those Kerastase masques and I fell in love with it- however sticker shock will keep me from repurchasing. I need to give this neutrogena one a try. I wonder if Loreal has a similar product as well since Kerastase is a loreal owned line.

This sounds pretty awesome! But with sweet almond oil on the ingredients list, I’d rather it smell like that than like peaches. 😛

Your hair looks amazing! I really love my Pureology hair mask, but it is super pricey. I’d love to get the same results @ a drug store price tag.

You’re reminding me that I need to use more product now that it’s getting wintery! Your hair is shiny and gorgeous! My hair’s on the thin side, so this would probably be a little heavy for me, but I’ll have to look for something – my ends are getting dryer from walking everywhere in the cold!

    I need a trim too…

I like this one! Old favorite! I don’t use it too often because of silicones, but I like how it feels.

In related news, I think that the Aveda Dry Remedy system is amazing! Can be used frequently!
