Tiburon is one of the small towns in Marin County, California. It’s about 25 miles south of where I live in Novato, closer to the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco, and it’s a beautiful place to visit on a sunny afternoon. Easy access by ferry from Sausalito or San Francisco makes it perfect for little day trips. Nearby Angel Island, also accessible by ferry from Tiburon, has some great hikes and an interesting historic museum. The island is sometimes referred to as the Ellis Island of the West because from 1910 to 1940, the Angel Island Immigration Station processed approximately 1 million immigrants entering the country.
It’s gorgeous there! Where I live it’s flatter than a pancake so it’s nice to see some hills. Looks like it was a beautiful day, too!
Oh, this brings back memories! When I lived in Marin Tiburon was my weekly meeting place with my friends who lived in San Francisco. We used to hang out at Sam’s Anchor Cafe (I think that was the name) and talk until all hours. Such a beautiful town.
Tiburon is a place I must visit. I’m in the south bay, so I venture as far north as Sausalito and call it a day. But Tiburon is so close to that, there’s no good excuse. I’ll bet the views are fantastic.

I would love to live there or Sausalito if I had a bajillion dollars. Some years ago I got to visit SF and did the thing where you rent a bike at the wharf and ride to Tiburon, then take the ferry back. What a fun experience!
I’m a Bay Area native (Vallejo to be exact!) currently living in Arizona. I’m aching to move back so badly. I’m SO SO SO homesick. This pictures are so beautiful and I can’t wait for the day I’m back there.
