Vintage MAC: The Velvet 6 Smoked Eyes Palette, Holiday 2006

September 26th, 2011 by Karen 15 Comments

The furriest palette in my MAC collection, by far.

Holiday 2006’s Velvet: 6 Smoked Eyes introduced me to Club and Vex, two of my most favorite MAC eyeshadows, evah!

My mom gave it to me for Christmas that year along with some brushes. 🙂

Aww, I remember these collections! I had the eyeshadow set, brush set, and lipstick set from all this. So awesome. I think Dita Von Teese was the model for it.

It’s like a palette of MAC’s best shades! Is it still useable?

omg! i still have the lip palette from that collex–the one with viva glams 1 thru 6. still love it even tho somehow i managed to smash the mirror inside. i just ghetto fixed it by using a bit of glad press & seal. i guess i could have used tape but *shrug.*

Gosh, I still have 2 palettes from this collection! I really loved the packaging and the colors.

They’re probably not usable anymore, right? I should recycle them for Back-to-MAC, but I’m slightly embarrassed to be bringing in vintages!

Peach_, be proud, not embarrassed! Y
You could show up any MAC SA with a cooler-than-thou attitude with your “you know MAC was the shizz before anyone else knew MAC was the shizz” empties.

      I think you’re cool, Peach_. 🙂

Oh, the other day when I B2Med one of those depots that was light green (from some special collection YEARS ago), the guy actually said “Even something as old as this?!” He’s a snob but I don’t care.

    oops.
if I could edit my comment, I’d write:
“you knew MAC was the shizz…”
not: “you know MAC was the shizz…”

As you can tell, I am not the shizz. 😛
