Speak is an incredible YA novel. I can’t believe I’ve never thought of using pretzel dough for burger buns before – oversight! That looks absolutely delicious. 😀
Speak is a great book! and you should REALLY check out the author of the books sitting next to it, Ellen Hopkins. I LOVE her books, which are written in verse, like poetry. She is a fantastic author.

Speak is a fantastic book. I had to read it in high school for a English class. I ended up loving it so much I actually bought it!

Speak is such a great book-the movie is on Lifetime often and Kristen Stewart plays the main character. And the food pictures make me wish I had eaten something better for lunch. Yay bears!

I read Speak in Adolescent Lit in college. It is a good book.
Karen, I HIGHLY recommend Impulse (right there next to Speak lol) and Perfct, the ‘sequel’ to it! All three are very interesting books and kinda rough.
Speak is a wonderful book, but I loved another one of the author’s books more–Wintergirls. I’ll never forget the last line of that book; it is so powerful. I am thawing. I’ll never forget it. Wintergirls is so much more personal, I think.
“Speak” is fantastic! The same author also wrote another book called “Catalyst”, which is set in the same high school, and is pretty good.
“Impulse” is also good, but is a bit twisted. (However, the formatting of this book makes me a bit sad. Such a waste of paper.)
I read Speak twice in high school. Powerful stuff! Definitely worth a read.
