My last cat was a Hawaiian adoptee. Unfortunately, Hawaii has a huge feral cat problem. In prime kitten season the shelter offers a 2-for-1 special to try and get them all in happy homes. We used to have this one stray that would hang out by our kitchen window and meow for some takeout.
