Hey Pretty Bird

July 21st, 2009 by Karen 20 Comments

I took a picture of this cute lil’ bird on Sunday, right before heading into the Cheesecake Factory for dinner (side note: don’t order the chicken medallions… bluh).

      Hi Yadi,

I wanted to take him home with me. I’m sure Tabs would NOT object.

Nope, not yet! I’ll add that one to my list.

Cute little birdie. I love the cheesecake factory a lot! I always get the soap and half sandwich meal. I’ll stay away from chicken medallions.

      Hi Sarah,

You can never go wrong with a soup and sandwich combo. Have you been to their Sunday brunch? It’s pretty good.

I was in love with the Miso Salmon until I found out it had 1800 calories!

      Hi Jamie Lynn,

Holy crap! That’s a hellavu lot of calories. I always end up splitting my meal in two — that way I don’t over eat (dang those portions are BIG) and have another meal for the next day.

I would love to have a shadow in his exact shade. 🙂

Try the Luau salad. It is fabulous. And if you order the dressing on the side, then you can eat the rest of it the next day!

      Hi Laura F.,

Thanks for the rec. Yay, now I have this nice long list of things to order the next time I go. I usually get very overwhelmed by the menu (it’s so big!), so this helps a lot.

That sounds good! Unfortunately, we don’t have a CCF near us..
What are chicken medallions? Chicken pieces in the shape of gold pendants?

      Hi Redhead,

LOL! I thought they’d be like little round pieces of chicken, but they’re actually just regular old chicken breasts. They weren’t very good, either. They had no flavor and were way too chewy.

Whenever I would go to CCF, I got Tuna Carpaccio. It’s on the appetizer menu. Really good.
