What Happened to Those Mangoes

May 1st, 2011 by Karen 21 Comments

I made a mango lassi based loosely off this recipe, and gurl, it tasted HELLA good!

It’s easy to make, too. You start by slicing two ripe mangoes and throwing ’em in a blender (sans skin and seed, of course).

Add a half a cup of yogurt. The recipe says to use plain, but I used some Greek Honey Yogurt from Trader Joe’s that I already had in the fridge.

Pour in a half cup of milk (I used 2%).

Blend on high speed.

And enjoy! 🙂

Wow that looks delicious! I finally tried those Champagne mangoes the other day when I was at the store picking out regular mangoes and this little old lady pointed out the Champagne mango’s and suggested I try them. I can’t believe what I’ve been missing all these years, these Champagne Mango’s are so much better and they are cheaper here too! Thanks for the recipe,I’ll be trying it in the morning.

i have been making smoothies with spinach, strawberries, carrots, and oranges. I know it sounds weird, but it takes just like a fruit smoothie and helps me get some veggies in, too. It does come out an odd bright green, though 😀
