Try Diorshow Pump’n’Volume Mascara for Lifted, Ladylike Lashes

Don’t poke your eye out, Karen

I mean…is this new Dior Diorshow Pump’N’Volume Mascara gimmicky?

Yeah, a little.

The tube is soft and squishy, like a really good pair of flip-flops! There’s an indentation toward the bottom of the tube to place your thumb and forefinger into. Then you give it a good squeeze.

BAM! — the brush loads with MOAR MASCARA for MOAR VOLUME.

I try not to squeeze too hard, though, because when I do, the brush gets overloaded and I apply way too much (and end up with smudgy mascara a few hours later).

My point here is to say that a little bit of this $29.50 mascara goes a long way. Resist the temptation to use that T-rex claw and go ham on that a$$!

I like the brush a lot. It has stubby, pointy nubs similar to those on the brush that comes with Chanel Le Volume de Chanel.

Squeeeeeeze it

Now that I think about it…Dior Pump’N’Volume looks a lot like Le Volume looks on lashes. It thickens and lengthens similarly and looks just dramatic enough to make a difference, but not so dramatic that it looks spidery or like cheap Halloween makeup, ya know?

I call them “ladylike ba-bam lashes.”

I do like Diorshow Pump’n’Volume more than Le Volume as far as curl hold. It definitely has Le Volume beat in that department.

Don’t get me wrong — I love Le Volume. It’s a staple, but Diorshow Pump’N’Volume lifts the roots much better and locks down the curl.

Just watch out when you’re using it on your lower lashes, though. That big brush tends to get messy.

Other than that, Pump’N’Volume is A-OK with me, and you can find it at Sephora right meow.

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

That squeeze thing actually solves a problem that’s annoyed me for years. You KNOW there’s more product in that tube, but there’s no way to angle the brush to pick it up properly. There’s always at least some room between the brush and the side of the tube. So…I’m actually kind of tempted! Bummer if the squeeze is hard to regulate, though, because who needs that? Thanks for the review!

I think the squeeze part is great, means you can get much more mascara out. I absolutely love this mascara. My absolute favorite

It would be interesting to compare if you get more mascara out of the tube over time than you do without a squezing one or if it is just gimmicky.

I hope the squeeze tube will become a thing, if it helps to get all the mascara out of the tube. 🙂 Diorshow isn’t my fave but I know a lot of people love it!

Better than Le Volume for holding curl? Yet another product I need to go try out.
