Eylure London Lengthening No. 080 Lashes: Take Highway 80 All the Way to London for Long, Lush Lashes That Still Look Natural

November 20th, 2014 by Karen 24 Comments

Eylure Lengthening 080 Lashes

From this day forward, let the official makeup record show that “Never give up!” is my mantra when it comes to false lashes.

Eylure Lengthening 080 Lashes
Eylure London Lengthening Lashes No. 080 Triple Pack ($9.99)

Because today I almost gave up after 10 minutes, and if I had, I would have missed out on a great set of Eylure London No. 080 Lengthening Lashes.

It wasn’t because they were hard to apply or uncomfortable. Quite the opposite, actually.

The No. 080s weigh next to nothing and feel fab. Plus, they slip right on.

Eylure Lengthening 080 Lashes

And I love how long and lush, but still remotely natural, they make my lashes look. Perfectly appropriate for daytime eyes or for natural-ish glam evening looks.

Eylure Lengthening 080 Lashes

But I’ll be damned! — the first time I applied them, the lashes on my left eye didn’t feel right at all.

The right side though? No problem. I couldn’t even feel them.

Eylure Lengthening 080 Lashes

The mystery took me a little while to figure out…

Before applying these, I’d trimmed them down from the inside ends, because Eylure lashes usually run a little long for me, so I trimmed them both to the same spot, assuming they’d then fit and look symmetrical.

But doh! — Karen, your eyes aren’t symmetrical.

My left eye is sightly smaller than my right…

Eylure Lengthening 080 Lashes

So I snipped a bit more off the left and tried again.

Voila! They fit just as well as they did on the right.

Long story short, give them a whirl. They’re easy to apply, look fairly natural and, once you get the right length, super comfortable. 🙂

A three-pack of reusable No. 080s is available now for $9.99, and you can find them at drugstores, Ulta and online.

PRICE: $9.99 for a pack of three with two small tubes of glue
AVAILABILITY: Available now at drugstores, Ulta and online
MAKEUP AND BEAUTY BLOG RATING: A- (the lashes are great, but the included glue is useless)

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

These have become my favorite false lashes because they are easy to work with and look natural. I also love that they come in a 3 pack so I always have them on hand:)

What does it say about me that I think these look *really* natural? Don’t answer that. 🙂 I was out and about quite a bit over the last week (midwest and up north) and almost picked up some false lashes about 6 times. We were always in a bit of a rush so I didn’t want to do any personal shopping but it’s only a matter of time before I grab some (I was eying the Ardell).

I think they look really good on you, Karen. They open your eyes but don’t look overly fake.

These look lovely and natural. My kind of lashes. My struggle is that I know lashes are meant to be lengthening, but for some reason they always look way too long on me. I can’t seem to find the cause so I can’t come up with a solution. Like…is my brow bone area small, etc. Do you know of any “short” lashes?

Last time I wore these, they were so uncomfortable… Maybe I need to cut them down like you did!

      Hi Estefania,

I always cut my falsies down, otherwise they are super annoying, lol. Apparently I have short lash lines!

These are super comfy and I can hardly feel them. Big plus.

      What are your go-to falsies?

Sweet! I’ll give them a shot! I still have them stashed somewhere… My absolute favorites are the Katy Perry Oh, Honey! lashes and the MAC 35’s for when I want some serious drama!

Honorable mention goes to the Ardell Demi Wispies

Those Katy Perry lashes are GREAT! I have a couple pairs (Lovely Lolita and Banging Beauty) and like them a lot. I will look for Oh, Honey next time I go to Ulta.

Ya know, I don’t think I’ve ever tried the MAC 35s. I’ve worn the 36s and the 34s and loooove them. Hmmm. Another one to add to the wish list. 🙂

These really do look very natural. I love lashes like these for fuller lashes but my natural ones are pretty long so if I want a dramatic effect I have to use really crazy ones to make them show up more 🙂 Now I feel inspired to apply false lashes tomorrow 😉 :))
    Love, Stefi

Do it, girl! Saturday is the perfect day for false lashes. Actually every day is the perfect day, LOL! I would wear them more if I didn’t have to deal with wearing glasses to look at the computer. 🙂

So happy about this post. I have pretty nice lashes naturally(well, with mascara applied on top, of course) so I always feel like false lashes look way over the top on me, instead of natural & beautiful. To me, usually they look pretty & “OMG Girl, YOU WORKING TONIGHT!?”

So, these look like a nice alternative. And the price tag is pretty sweet ☺️

LOL, Kwmechelle! One thing I like about Eylure is that they have so many styles. When you go and look for these you have to check out the other ones, too. There is a lot to play with and they’re all reasonably priced.

Happy Friday, btw. What are you up to this weekend?

*waving* Hi Karen! We’re leaving on Tuesday to go out of town for turkey day, which means I’ll be washing clothes, packing, buying treats/snacks for our road trip so my weekend’s gonna be laid back. Btw, last week you mentioned Mac’s Uninterrupted as a great brown with warm undertones. Well, I bought it today & I L.O.V.E it!

Really, it looks a bit unassuming in the pan & even after I swatched it, I was afraid it would be too close to my skin tone. But you know what? It totally works! I love it as a transition color. It looks like my skin, only better. It’s wonderful for blending out shadows & I can tell this one’s gonna be a real workhorse. thanks for the heads up 🙂
