NYX Introduces Tempting New Shades of $5 Butter Gloss To Excite Lips and Make Tummies Rumble

I can’t even begin to understand the concept of skipping dessert.

Well, that’s not true… I get it. Sometimes I do it, too. But I hate it whenever I do. Every time.

It’s easy for my friend Cindy, though. Whenever a waiter asks, “Would you like to see the dessert menu?” she can easily say no (she’s more into salty snacks than sweets), but that’s not even an option for me. I have to see the dessert menu because I live for the sweet stuff, man.

A meal doesn’t seem complete unless I’ve had a piece of cake or a scoop of ice cream at the end, and if it were more socially acceptable to completely skip appetizers and the main dish entirely and go straight to dessert, I totally would.

I like to get my sweet on any way I can, which is why I have a soft spot for these NYX Butter Glosses.

Have you taste tested these sheer glosses before (I meant figuratively, but they do have a light brown sugar and vanilla flavor and scent that I like)? They cost $5 each and originally arrived last spring, when they were added to the permanent line.

They have a satiny finish, a lightweight, super comfy, non-sticky formula and delectable names like Peach Cobbler and Cherry Pie.

They tend to apply a little patchy on me at first and only last about an hour, but I like ’em for what they are, and the price seems right.

NYX recently added 10 more shades, including the three yummy-sounding ones here — rosy nude Angel Food Cake, hot pink Cupcake and berry Raspberry Tart.

I like these ones just as much as the others, and kudos to anything that reminds me of my favorite part of a meal. Dessert. 🙂

If your lips and taste buds are curious, the NYX Butter Gloss line is available now at drugstores, Ulta and nyxcosmetics.com.

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

The Raspberry Tart shade looks nice on ya! I like how even though they look cool toned they are working on your warm skin!

I haven’t tried these yet, but I always seem to be impressed by NYX, so I’d say there’s a good chance that I’d like them.

By the way, I totally agree about dessert. No dinner is complete without something sweet at the end.

Hooray for more NYX Butter Glosses! I have a couple and really enjoy the formula. I’m so picky about gloss so finding one that I like *and* that is affordable is a real treat. I definitely need to check out all the shades.

These are pretty and, as you say, for 5 bucks they seem like a good deal. 🙂

Sorry, but I have to go with Cindy on this one. I only eat dessert once in a blue moon and then it’s usually because I’m “forced” (like birthday cake, or it’s part of the meal, etc). Appetizers are my downfall. If I’m eating out, I feel the same way about them as you do about dessert. The meal doesn’t seem complete without one.

Raspberry Tart looks fab! I’m letting myself splurge a little in March (it’s my birthday month). This is one item I’ll be getting for sure.

I have yet to try anything from NYX. I’ve heard nothing but good things about these Butter glosses, though.

I’m not a big fan of the Butter Gloss formula, but I really love their mega shine line.

I ordered Cupcake the other day & I can’t wait for it to come in the mail! Angel Food Cake also looks like a great neutral – maybe next time haha.

Hey, I’ve got one of these! Cherry Cheese Cake, which is a super in-your-face orange. (Don’t really understand why it’s called cherry cheesecake, honestly…)
I like the coverage, and it lasts a little longer for me – maybe more like 90 minutes to two hours. A fun, cheap thrill 🙂

Do you find that these glosses are sticky by any chance? For example I don’t mind if they feel creamy but if they make it so that my lips feel like everytime I open them the product strings or feels sticky I can’t stand it! What type of texture do you believe these have on the lips?

I still haven’t tried these. I quite like the Round lip gloss formula, I’m sure I’ll love these too. I love beauty products named after food 😛

That Angel Food Cake & Raspberry Tart look like my type of colors.. I purchased a gloss a bit too light for my lip tone but these look perfect!
