[SPONSORED] Comment to Win $152 in Fragrances From i smell great and the Maker of CLEAN Perfume

Comment to Win $152 in Fragrances From i smell great
Comment to win $152 in fragrances from i smell great! DEADLINE TO ENTER: Dec. 31, 2014.

***The giveaway is officially closed.*** CONGRATULATIONS, CHELSEA! You’re the lucky girl! I received your email response, so keep your eyes (and nose) peeled over the next few days for your fragrant prize. 🙂

The following post is sponsored by i smell great. From the creator of CLEAN perfume, the scents you love, extracted, encapsulated, bottled. Isn’t that great? Learn more at ismellgreat.com.

It’s been about a month and a half since I aromatically introduced myself to i smell great, and I’m still crushing hard.

The new line of easy-to-wear, mix-and-matchable scented lotions, potions and hair products is gentle enough to WANT to wear every day, and I like all four fragrances — Beach Babe, Candy Crush, Angel Cake and Wild Honey — none of which are so strong that they overpower everything when you walk into a room (in other words, nothing like the smell of popcorn).

And I’m still having fun with the idea of layering the different fragrances together, which come in different hair and body products, to create unique combos.

The layering/mixing/matching idea is their special power, along with being hella long-lasting, and I have yet to create a combo I haven’t liked. Individually, they’re all very light and gentle.

i smell great: the four fragrances

  • beach babe: Ah, take me away to a land of tropical breezes, coconut cream and golden suntan oil…
  • candy crush: Mouthwatering candied flower petals, rose syrup, icing sugar and candy hearts to tempt and tease you.
  • angel cake: A comfy, cozy scent with notes of pink icing, powdered sugar and candied almonds…with a touch of sweetness.
  • wild honey: A soothing synthesis of honey, brown sugar, Tahitian vanilla and sweet nectar make this intoxicating aroma irresistible.

The Soft Body Whip in Candy Crush + Wellness Water Mist in Angel Cake combo is currently nominated for ride-or-die status in my house.

There’s a corner of one shelf in my bathroom cabinet reserved for my favorite body lotions and body products, and i smell great stuff is all up in the mix.

I’m loving this new line, and I think you will too.

Which leads me to this…

Another holiday giveaway (there’s also this one for the felines among us). 🙂

I was 12 when I started wearing perfume. A friend of my mother gave me a bottle of “Babe” perfume. I wore entirely too much of it. Then I discovered Chanel #5.

I want to try this line really bad. I keep seeing posts about the scents all over Instagram and Twitter. Thanks for a chance to win!

I did use to steal my mom’s perfume, it was a really expensive fragrance, I can’t think of a name of it at the moment. I always thought my mom would never notice but of course she knew and could smell it on me, lol.

The bottles call to me to this day. I cannot go by any of my bottles without either smiling at the beautiful container, or spritzing it in the air to enjoy it, or spritz my hair or wrist, neck or decollete’ I am so hooked on fragrance, I will not leave my house without it. I was about 7 (or 8) when I first started wearing perfume. My mother actually got me two Fresh and Fancy kits (one to make perfume and one to make make-up). I would create my own scents from various scented tones. I’m pretty sure my creations smelled horrible , but I was young and thought the world of them. It was fun and made me feel pretty.

OHMYGOSH! So, my dad used to buy this really expensive perfume for my mom, but it was, like, perfume oil so it was a teeny bottle that cost God knows how much. I loved looking at the bottle and playing with the bottle… I spilled multiple bottles. The best time I did this was because of Gone With the Wind. You know that scene where Scarlett is super drunk after the death of her second husband and Rhett comes to visit? Well I remember asking my mother what Scarlett was drinking, and not wanting to tell her 5 yr old that she was drunk on Gin, she told me it was something to make her breath smell nice. It’s TECHNICALLY true, since Scarlett swishes with cologne to mask the scent of alcohol. All my 5 yr old brain understood was that it was acceptable to drink perfume. I tried it. Twice. Both times I spit it out, what with it being disgusting. To this day there’s a part of me that wonders what perfume tastes like, hahaha.

Not a holiday memory, but one of my favorite scent memories involved Stella perfume. My mom wore it and I always loved the scent too. When I moved out on my own (13 hours from my parents) and they visited me for the first time, my mom left her bottle of Stella behind when they left. When I told her she had left it, she said “I know. I just thought you would enjoy it and it would remind you of me.” That perfume always will!

My favorite holiday scent is tea! It isn’t a strong smell, but I love it! Every time I walk past teavanna in the mall I start breathing deeply; they probably think I’m a freak! My all time favorite is Awake by Tazo (which smells amazing and keeps me awake), but for the holidays I have gotten really into chi tea. There is this boxed chi tea concentrate by Tazo from Target that you mix with milk and it is amazing! It tastes just like the Starbucks chi tea latte but it’s so much cheaper! It smells just like winter I swear; the type of scent that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside! I was actually drinking one while reading this, but “t-money and k-dawg” made me spit it out! Well I got off topic but Merry Christmas Karen and good luck to everyone!

I was 12 years old when I first started wearing perfume. I still remember the first fragrance I ever purchased: “Glow” by JLo. It was around the holidays, so it was part of a gift set. Came with two eye shadows, a lip gloss and a wristlet that I wore to school everyday for an entire month, LOL! Though I’m not big on celebrity fragrances anymore, whenever I smell or see an ad for “Glow,” it takes me right back to the year 2002.

I always had a thing for Chanel No.5.. Maybe its because the smell reminds me of my mom’s old body powder. It was this huge jar of body powder that always sat on her dresser. It was always spilling out all over the dresser so basically her whole room would smell like the powder. Ever since I discovered Chanel No. 5 and realized the smell was exactly like that of my mother’s powder, I have been head over heels for the perfume. Something about it just takes me back to happier times.

A scent that reminds me of the holidays is the smell of fresh cut pine or cypress which my mum use to hang in wreaths around the house. As I live in Costa Rica we are currently in summer season and our lowest average temperature -at least in San José- during this season is 16*C (about 60.8F), so we have sunny days but the air is chilly and the smell of those trees is delicious and refreshing.

I love the smell of anything vanilla-e around the cold months. It makes me feel comfortable and of course clean. Around spring, rose scented products are the best. Ofcourse, the smell of coconut reminds me of the beach and on my favorite time of the year. Funny how scents can be associated with a specific time or event in ones lifes. xoxo

These sound wonderful to me. I use a body spray because it is usually lighter than a perfume and the one I use I can not smell on myself but others compliment the fragrance often. Therefore, the I Snell Great line sounds like I would love. I definetely have to look into these. Thanks for the opportunity.

When I was 11 my mother bought me a little bottle of perfume from the children’s section in Nordstrom and it was in my stocking that holiday. It was in the shape of a gummy bear and it smelled like Candy Crush. When I smelled Candy Crush at a friend’s house it reminded me of my mom and it brought back so many happy memories. Scent memories are truly powerful, and I miss her everyday. Thank you I Smell Great for creating such a beautiful scent and bringing the memory back for me!
